Ok, I am new to Circuit Training and have to eat a protein and complex carb with each meal..... since I am new to this I don't have a lot of choices to make in terms of different things to try so I would love it if any of you will share your recipes with me :) I will start:

I have mastered the art of making Qunioa taste like fried rice and spanish rice with very few ingredients and its healthy!! Qunioa is GOOD for you.

Quinoa: .

Spanish Rice -
saute onions, cilantro, and 2 Tblspns of lemon in 1 Tblspn of Olive Oil
add 1 cup of quinoa and lightly brown, add 1/2 cup of your favorite hot sauce ( I use Julian's mild) and 1 cup low sodium chicken broth or water, bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes or until tender. TASTES JUST LIKE IT!!

Fried Rice -
Saute onions & peas in 1 Tsp of Seasame oil and 1 Tblspn of Olive Oil
add 3 eggs and scamble in with sauted items, remove and set aside in bowl.
Brown 2 cups of quinoa in same sautee pan, add 3 Tblsp of Soy Suace, add 2 cups water or low sodium chicken broth and bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, add back the scramble mixture and more soy or teriyaki sauce to taste. JUST LIKE FRIED RICE AND YUMMY! I eat this with chicken breast.

    Protein Pancakes

    1/4 cup of egg white
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
    1/2 banana
    1 tablespoon of ground flaxseed
1/4 cup of your fave fruit--I use pineapple

cook on a heated griddle on a very low flame. Certainly not IHOP but ....I like them.

agave but usually nothing---the fruit makes them sweet enough. Some people also do them in a waffle iron. Good luck!
