Insanity

Is anyone else here doing Insanity during our 10 week challenge? I'm about halfway through week 3 and wanted to see how others have done.
So far I've lost around 3-4 lbs and I've lost an inch off my waist (a total of 4 inches all over my entire body) and I'm barely at the half-way point! Would love to hear from others doing the Insanity workout or any who have finished it.
Thanks all

I'm doing it but just 2 workouts a week. I LOVE it. Haven't lost anything because I'm actually doing a bulk. I'm just doing it to improve my cardiovascular endurance.
You're doing GREAT!0 -
I'm doing it, but I'm doing it to supplement my weekend workouts. Therefore, not doing the 'plan' as you are. Sorry I'm not a help to you. You're doing great!0

I want to do Insanity... but I'm afraid of it. Insanity and P90X both terrify me. I am hoping when I am at a more 'manageable' size like say... 10 instead of the 24 I started out as, I want to give both of those workouts a shot. For now, my barely able to fit into size 14 jeans just ain't going to make it through something as high intensity as Insanity. Not yet anyway . Maybe late spring, or this summer!0

It's great that you want to try it! I'm not sure if size matters as much as your fitness level. Sure, it would probably be easier to wait until you lost more...which is what I did too. Good luck with it though. Don't be afraid of it. That's the nice thing about at-home video workouts. You can go at your own pace. If you haven't tried it already, Jillian Michael's workout videos really helped me prepare for insanity. I did her 30 Day Shred and it definitely made me stronger. She has a bunch of other videos that are worth checking out if 30DS isn't for you. If you decide to do Jillian Michaels or Insanity, feel free to hit me up with any questions. Even if you just need motivation0 -
My first try through I made it to the second week of the second month. Lost several inches and about 20 lbs. I'm in my second try at the first week of the second month - it's still kicking my butt. I haven't lost as much, as I have less to lose, but I am definitely toner and have more endurance that my last round. All other workouts seem like nothing after Insanity. I'm hoping to invest in Insanity ASYLUM soon.0

When I started Insanity I was at 168 and a size 14 jeans. I couldn't do the butt kicks, I couldn't "hit the floor" and I couldn't do a push to save my life (even the girlie ones!! ). It's about doing what YOU can and getting better.
Jillian's 30DS is free on youtube. I prefer her Ripped in 30 (easier on the knees and more variety on the arm exercises).
Which ever you decide, just stay the course and you'll love the results!!0
