What is something you have learned about yourself having quit the cig?
One thing I have learned is I like shrimp!
Well...more specifically, is that my taste buds are changing and I am finding that a lot of the things I used to "hate" I actually like a lot.

I learned that I am stronger than I thought. Physical cravings are one thing but this nicotine addiction was about 80% psychological, 20% physical for me.0

Similar to melsinct, the whole 'surf the urge' idea is really powerful, I think. I've been able to use it to deal with negative emotions unrelated to cravings. Kind of blew my mind.0

After 16 years of smoking and worrying about how hard it would be to quit- I have realised its actually the easiest thing ever!! I wish I'd done it years ago and had some courage.0

Good Question! For the first time in my life I am living without ANY addictions. No cigarettes, no alcohol, no overeating! I always thought I could never have muscles due to some imagined problem but now I do! I found I could climb a small mountain and swim again! There are so many more things I can do I can't list them all!0

Like melsinct said, it's also at least 80% psychological for me, and that's the hardest part to overcome. I'm so sick of fighting cravings...I just want them to be gone, and sometimes I worry it will ALWAYS feel like a fight.0
