hi everyone, i'm not a pole dancer but an aerialist (there's no group for that!), and i was wondering if you have a specific workout you do to stay toned/strengthen. Something free online would be great!!
for dance/posture aspects, i like to do NYC ballet workout - you can find the whole thing on youtube.
there is a lot of core strength used in that workout (just lifting your leg in isolation without moving your torso at all is hard!)
but i'd like some new things that involve cardio, abs, and flexibility!

Hello!!! What aerials do you do? I'm mainly Silks and Lyra, with a bit of Trap and Aria when I have time!!!
Will check out that workout - thanks! I'm sloppy on isolations, and really only do them for shoulders atm! My conditioning routine is mainly aerials based - so inverted crunches on Hoop, lat lifts, pull ups, leg raises etc. Have recently rediscovered the Roman Rings for core and leg conditioning, so am working out a new regime using more lat and trap work.
I did promise somewhere on this board to write out my pole conditioning list - I will get round to doing this at some point!!!0 -
lyra is my favorite, but i'm getting back into silks - i just don't know very much to do on them.
i like trapeze too, but the closest studio with a trapeze is an hour's drive so... not much practice on it
it's cold in my garage right now, so it's mostly floor work out for me at the moment
we had a warm day not too long ago, so i got to play for the first time in 2 months, and i was so sore! ugh.. gotta get back into it0
