Calves...

hi there...
I am on Day 4 of the 30DS. Took some rest days due to illness...I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this...
Did your calf muscles hurt after doing the jumping jacks/jump rope/ etc? My calves have been burning - to the point that they cramp up when I am doing cardio at the gym or even pilates reformer.
I am debating on if I should continue to finish the 30DS.
disclaimer - I have an athletic upbringing (swimming, cheerleading, dance (ballet/jazz/gymnastics)) and haven't ever experienced anything like this before...
Just wondering if anyone else had the same experience?

my left calf muscle was hurting very badly even when not exercising, so i took a couple days of the shred and did the squats and lunges holding 1lb weights instead. it let me keep my heart rate up while not putting so much strain on my legs and i could focus more on proper form rather than how heavy my weights are. Healed myself right up and im back to normal weights!0

I experience this too!! I thought it was just me. When it comes to the jump rope part I jump one foot at a time, not both at once and that helps but the last 2 circuts of jumping jacks I either stop with 4 or 5 to go or I jump with my feet closer together. I'm hoping it works itself out as they get used to being used. Don't let this stop you from completing the program...just modify! I missed the whole weekend beging out of town with no DVD player...so day 5 is tonight for me.0 -
Yes! I am in the exact same boat; it's been bringing me to tears with my running but I'm trying to fight through with lots of stretching. Hang in there!0

I had horrible pain in my right calve/knee during level 1, I had my husband rubbing in icy hot and wrapping it before every work-out. Now, on level 2, my left hip is killing me - feel so old! I finally went out and bought some new tennis shoes with arch support, wore them for the first time last night during my work-out, made a HUGE difference!! I got through the work-out without any problems, wish I had them for level 1.
Don't give up!!0
