Hi everyone,
I'm a Type 2 diabetic. I've had diabetes for a number of years. It's just become out of control the last few years. On top of diabetes I also have high blood pressure, anxiety and suffer from migraines. Life has thrown me some curves lately. I've been suffering from a complicated migraine, which for a week and a half, I don't remember anything. I also am a 2nd grade teacher. I really need support on eating right, and not overeating. Tonight was the first night I've exercised in a long time, and I only made it 27 minutes. I can use all the support I can get.

Babs,
Welcome to the group. Congrats on making a commitment to healthy eating, and to getting started on exercise. 27 minutes isn't bad for a start. It sounds like even though some things are out of your control in your life, that you are controlling the things you can. This group has a lot of wisdom and support to offer. The best of luck to you on your journey.0 -
Do you know what causes your migraines?0

Welcome to the group and MSP... You will get lots of help/motivation here. If you want to add me as a friend, please do. I also ahve an open food diary. Also 27min is pretty good for just starting out with exercise .0

The doctor thinks anxiety has been causing this round. I think it's stress. I've suffered from migraines since I was about 11. I deal with them, but I'm hoping if I can get everything under control, they will cease.0

Thanks everyone for making me feel welcome. I took my fasting blood level this morning and it was 171. That's the highest it's been in a couple of weeks. I forgot to take my medicine yesterday, so hopefully today will be a better day.0
