Is it helpful to reduce carb cravings ? I've heard it helps with endurance, and gives you a bit of an energy boost, but just wondering if it helps or wasting money. Thanks for any responses.......um, could I change that to L glutamine ??? I just took one ( gettin ready to workout) and its NOT carnitine...its GLUTAMINE...so :blushing:

I take both, but I don't think Glutamine is for energy.

I've not seen anything remotely conclusive that it reduces carb cravings in humans.

I would suspect it's useless but you could always try it yourself and see. One would think that behavioral effects of various supplements probably vary from person to person.

L-Carnitine has not been shown to enhance performance. Glutamine is not for enhanced performance/energy, but is supposed to be used for improved muscle or strength gains as well as to improve the immune system, however, studies do not support the former and are mixed regarding the latter. I am not aware of the impact on cravings.

I did not see any effect or help with L Carnitine so after 2 months I stopped taking it.

Like Creatine, Glutamine can be found in a lot of food sources. There is really no reason to take it. Mostly what happens is increased muscle hydration. A dehydrated muscles is a weak muscle. Carbs, glutamine, and creatine all help with muscle hydration.
