I missed y'all! 12 week Bulk/reset

Hey everyone, long time no speak! I took a break from the MFP social scene for awhile after my ex and I broke up. Got tired of seeing her face all over.
That said things are going well in my health world. I've been continuing to run for some time.
But I've made a change lately. I noticed fatigue and results were slowing. So I've come back to do a reset- and a clean bulk. I am on day 22 of my clean bulk. I've gained 11lb, but my clothes for the same. I am lifting very heavy 4x a week and my eating is focused on a lower carb, high protein style diet which my body responds to phenomenally well.
I'm hoping to keep my head in the game during the bulk which is difficult when the stomach and fat is sticking around- but my focus is on my health right now and I've never felt or been healthier in my life than I am right now. I've never lifted this much weight EVER and it's stacked on quick. I've added 50lb to my squats this month alone.
Kids, the reset or bulk phase is critical for your mind and body. Enjoy the clean wonderful food and the cleansed and healed body and mind that comes with it. Throw your scales away and feel empowered.

Brad, so glad you are back. I saw you in another post and was like, man it has been too long!
Nice...cut/bulk cycles...love it. It is a hard concept for many (women especially) coming from the VLCD mindset. To get us to eat more then you say cut/bulk...it freaks people out. Took me a long to to wrap my mind about it, but it finally sunk in....
You rock! Keep up the awesome work!0 -
Sounds like you've really been looking after yourself during your absence and totally rocking it. Welcome back!0

I'm having some issues with my TDEE. Can I get a hand?
BF: 25%
Weight: 225
Height: 6'0
Age: 28
My current intake is 2800 calories. My issue is that my BF hasn't gone down at all in the last year despite cuts and resets. Should I be cutting more?0 -

Use the Katch McArdle to calculate your TDEE.
Add a couple of fat blasting HIIT sessions weekly. Cycle cuts from 10 to 15% every 4wks and then one week tdee.0 -
Consider it done. Thank you.0

So happy to see you back, Brad!!
I just finished a 12 week bulk/reset myself (well, I bulked, which I do yearly for the specific purpose of resetting).
Now I'm cutting at EVEN higher cals than before! I love how that happens every year.
WOOT!
Welcome back!!

Well.. I tweaked my wrist doing bicep curls this weekend. So as a result I am taking a forced week off of lifting and focusing on HIIT cardio since I've neglected it entirely for over 3 weeks. I woke up this morning leaner than I've been in 6 months- so I'm not complaining! It's a nice psychological boost.
I'm working in a remote camp this winter and it's been impossible to eat the way I want to. I know my results will come a lot quicker once I get home and can eat my veggies and unprocessed meats.0 -
bump. will reply later0

Good to "see" you. Looks like you're doing great and continuing to work hard at this. I'm hoping you get the results you're looking for!0
