The scary Wk 5...Day 3.....

is OVER!! =) I did it!!! I'm soooo very excited I'm still talking about it!!! I have stalked these boards like a crazy person for motivation and just want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone on the board. :-) Reading all of the encouraging posts really helped me make it today. I just kept thinking...I can do this...I can do this...my body is ready it's alllll in my mind. LOL

YAY!!!!!

To others who have this week coming up....YOU can do this!! YOU will making it! PLUS you will feel absolutely fantastically amazing after you do!! I never ever ever thought I would run (okay really a slow jog) for 20 minutes at once...ever! Yet...TA-DA! I did!! LOL  Of course while I was finishing up I was thinking...hmmm when a horde of zombies emerge from the wooded area behind me & start across the field I will be able to run for at least 20 minutes now. LOL

(I'm a teeensy bit happy in case no one has noticed HA HA!)

Brilliant, all of you. I'm due to start wk 7 tomorrow and I KNOW I can do this and beyond (I hope to take part in a 10k run in October).

If you're programme is like mine, day 1 of week 6 confused me 'cause it felt like it did a sudden reverse gear change (10 run, 5 walk, 10 run) after running for 20 mins at wk 5. Don't let this unsettle you. It's important to allow yourself to adjust to what's ahead on day 3 of wk 6, which is a 25 min run. Good luck.

    Way to go!!!

I am still at Week 4, but have been running through some of my walk sections to "test" if I can jog for longer. I feel so proud whenever I push through. Go as slow as you need to and build the stamina!

    Woohoo!! Good for you!!

My program is way different then everyone else it seems....I don't do a 20 minute run until W7D1, so I sitll have 2 runs before I get there.

Thank you everyone!! Today I did D1 of WK 6 and anne2605 you were correct...It felt weird going back to the walking and running again! LOL However, I used today to push myself a little harder and improve my form! In the end it felt GREAT!

I actually liked it better when the intervals ended with W6D3 and it was all straight running. I could get into a groove and just go. Cue up my running mix on the iPod, hit start on C25k and .... she's off.

Congrats to all of you for getting half way through. Finishing was an amzing feeling. I was the girl who tried to hide at gym rather than run. I am now on W6D3 of 5k to 10k. My stretch goal is 10 miles in under two hours by October. ~phew~
