Happy March. Spring is starting to spring and there is St. Patrick's day to deal with. It should be a challenging month.
I will be back later to catch up. I just wanted to get the March thread going.

Happy Lushing Kate, I see you've already planned it out!! Well done!!
I am going away this weekend and will try to earn some calories for booze. I am trying to be very careful with balancing the two.
I love tthe fitbit I must admit...it makes it a game for the day to make the goals0 -
Just bumping the new thread so I can keep up with my lushes!
And checking in with my zeros!
Uggh not drinking on St Pattys Day is gonna suck!0 -
Ohhhh....Chloe, it will all be worth it in the end with a healthy baby...and, we will all drink your quantities
Sydney...just wanted to say that the one glass of wine did the trick for sleeping well. I was so sleepy that I called Ron from downstairs to come and turn off the light for me. Seriously, it's 5 feet away. LOL And, today, I am a cleaning maching.
Doing 50 squat jumps every hour on the hour until we leave for our trip.0 -
Oh my my my...I cannot believe it's already March 1!!! Where does the time go??0
-
I can see this year is going to fly by.
Last night talked with Mom = way too much to drink :noway:
Date night tonight with husband before he leaves in the morning for a mini business trip. Might do cocktails instead of a bottle or two of wine. We shall see.
Happy March all :flowerforyou:0 -
Kat, I completely agree. It seems like 2012 flew by...and it's already March 2013! Jeeze! It'll be Christmas again before we know it!
Tonight is my date night with my hubby too, but that'll just be us hanging out at home chilling, drinking and making dinnerIt's the simple things that make me happy. I've barely seen him all week so I look forward to just getting to talk to him!
Tomorrow we're going to hit the gym & clean the house! My goal this month is to make it to the Y at least 4 times a week!! I slacked the 2nd half of February....we got hit with TONS of snow in the span of 2 weeks. 21.2 inches!! All-time record for Wichita, Kansas!0 -

So true, I can hear the Halloween music alreadybig year for me, 10 year anniversary with the now husband, 1 year officially married. I agree, love the simple things. Date night we go down the street to our favorite restaurant because they now know us, have amazing bread and consistently good food and we can drink however much since it's right down the road. We usually make dinner or get delivery all week so going out is a little treat, no cooking or cleaning
My goal is to get back to liking work outs. We also got a lot of snow but it was over one night 32 inches :noway: it was a nightmare but now it's almost all gone because the week after the blizzard it was in the 40's and we've had some other warmish days along with rain.

Kat, Sorry about your loss. As I get older it seems that I lose someone every other month or so. It sucks.
Happy news. I just booked my trip to So Cal for the Faire. I worked Southern and Northern California Renaissance Pleasure Faires as an Ale Wench for 10 years. I go back once a year to Southern and play really really hard. I really need it this year.
I din't get my claim completed yet so that is my plan this weekend and to get it filed. I survived this week since I only had to be at my desk two days this week and today my new (on paper) manager became effective. I still have to file the claim because it doesn't really change anything. She just needed him to have some direct reports so as to not raise a red flag but I really only support her.
I have gotten back into the swing of vodka at night and I haven't gotten back into the swing of eating well or exersizing. oh well.
Have a great day lushes!!!0 -
Yay for March! Its 80 degrees here today...I'm ready to start swimming again.
TGIF everyone!0 -
Len and I decided to go out and grab a bite tonight, so my wine turns to beer...3, I will try to keep it there0

Going to the wake tomorrow and the funeral Monday.Spending the day with Mom and Gram, we're going to my favorite Mexican restaurant for lunch so there will either be a 34oz beer or a jumbo marg. split two bottles of wine last night on date night and one glass of prosecco. Now to clean up before Mom and Gram come over.0

Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyy lushes!!
Last night was very lushy for me. Husband and I had 2 Mormon missionaries over for dinner last night., so we...*ahemprepartied* We slammed a red bull/vodka and two shots of jager before they got here and snuck a vodka/fresca in the middle. They were very sweet, didn't talk about religion, and offered to help with the dishes. Then, for whatever reason, after they left and the kids went to bed we :smokin: and then were taking shots of vodka OUT OF THE BOTTLE and chasing it with red bull and watching Psych.
I have no idea what ^that^ was all about. :drinker:
I'm headed to Vegas with Shellisugar (remember her?) over St. Pat's weekend for the Muse concert, so I have a feeling we'll be tossed the entire time. Whoot!!! I'm going to try and keep my lushiness to a minimum tonight because I weigh/measure/take progress pics tomorrow and I don't want to be all bloated.0 -
The witch beat me to the punch and had HR give me a verbal warning about my performance. How do you perform to expectations when they are ludicrous? oh well. They ask me what training I need to be successful. I say I have no idea because I don't know what being successful in her eyes would entail. Maybe they should tell me what I am doing wrong or not doing? Nope. Just a tickmark in the books on the way to getting me fired. I hate my life right now. Kalua in the coffee to start the day.0

So sorry about your hostile work environment. It does seem like they are laying the groundwork for dismissal. I have worked with similar supervisors and remember dreading coming to work.
Hang in there stay strong. Show them you care. If you have to go out, do it with your head up and with dignity.

Oh ffs, robin! I can feel the pit in your stomach because it wasn't all that long ago that the husband was in a similar situation. It's a horrible feeling of helplessness. I know the specific work environment you are in and also know it is very rare and quite difficult to fire an employee. They just make your life so difficult that you end up quitting. DON'T LET THOSE SONS OF *****ES WIN! Document, document, document. And put your side on the record with specific examples. You're already miserable so *kitten* em. Give it right back!
In the meantime, we're here to listen and support you. :flowerforyou:
0 last night. I was exhausted. But we are celebrating tonight! Our son went through quite an extensive process to apply to become an Resident Assistant (RA). We didnt expect him to get it as a Sophomore and sort of chalked it up to a good experience and practice for next year since they rarely accept 1st yr students....but he got the job! It amounts to a savings of about $15,000/yr to us so our pocketbooks are happy and we are quite proud!
Going to try to get in a swim...its gorgeous and HOT here. Then grilling some carne asada and shrimp later. Drinks will be had. :drinker:0 -
Oh Robin that's terrible. Like others said document everything! Enjoy ur morning Kalua!
SoCal congrats to ur son that's awesome! And I'm jealous of the nice weather, it's 30 here today....I'm ready for summer!0 -
Fri - 3 rum/ diet cokes0
-
Sat - 3 vodka/ sodas0
-
Diana, our son turned 22 on Monday. Leap year baby is kind of cool.
Robin, sucks to be in that situation. Did someone tell her about the pending complaint? I agree with Sydney, you're already miserable, so maybe give some of it back.
So, hubs and I had a lushy weekend in Duluth with bunches of other lushes. We ended up checking out the strip club across the street. That was a first for me. Very interesting is all I have to say.
I was worthless today to say the least. I mixed many Oatmeat Stout beers, Stellas, B52 shots and vodka/sodas. The only good this is that my kidneys still make urine.
The plan is zeros for the rest of the week.

I lOVE your POST! Sounds like a great time.
They say the strippers love it when the men bring their ladies! :blushing:
Sure beats my weekend. My wife was in Seattle at Comicon. I bached it at home. No parties or strippers for me! :sad:0 -
Better late than never.....
Did alright last week. I drank more days than intended, but less quantity, so that's good. I got kinda drunk at book club Friday; had about 6 glasses of wine. Saturday was mild and I went out last night for a friend's birthday and actually only had 3 drinks over about 3 hours. Amazing. I plan on more of that this week.0 -
Friday-2 1/2 beers and 6oz of wine
Saturday-grape vodkas, white wine, red bull drinks...I can't even tell you how many I had. My sister in laws bachelorette party was a major success, it was so much friggin fun AND I didn't puke
Sunday-to kill my hangover..... I had a grape vodka and sprite and we split 2 beers.
I feel like POOPY today, I am so tired. I can not wait to get back into bed.
Monday-00 -
I have to say (not to be a downer for you lushes), but Mondays are a whole different story now that I can't drink. Normally on Mondays I feel puffy and gross and like Kate said, just ready to go back to bed. But, today I feel rested and rejuvenated from my relaxing weekend.
So this is how all the lame non-lushes feel all the time!0 -
Haha kim...I haven't been to a strip club since husband's bach party. Sounds like you had fun.
Way to not puke, Kate.
I also drank too much on Saturday. I'm out of summer shape...A day in the hot sun and swimming followed by vodka had me pretty toasted. I spent yesterday being a slug.

Shooting for a 0 tonight. Back on track.0 -
Stayed up until after 3 on Saturday watching my movies. Too much too drink so yesterday was a little rough. Went to the wake then to early dinner with my best friend and had drinks. She said she was going to go home and get hammered but when I got home I just didn't want anything to drink so I had water and then watched my favorite show Walking Dead. Watched a couple other shows then crawled in bed. Was finally tired enough sometime after 2am and fell asleep, I hate that I have a hard time sleeping when husband isn't home but that's how it goes. He comes home tomorrow night
Think I'm having dinner and drinks with my friend Eve tonight so I'm sure I'll be able to come home and pass out after that. Right now I'm going to heat up some clam chowder for lunch then do some housework.
