Kettlebell Express! is a Kettlebell workout PDF containing loads of workouts specifically geared to increase metabolism and lower stress through short, intense kettlebell, double kettlebell and bodyweight movements.

The PDF is designed and promoted by Geoff Neupert, Master RKC according to his blog page: http://chasingstrength.com/uncategorized/the-best-kettlebell-workout-youve-never-done-even-for-stress-relief/

You can download the whole package for $47 - (that's £40 UK when you add the VAT), which doesn't seem too bad if the package delivers as Geoff promotes.

Has anyone downloaded Kettlebell Express! and can give a review on whether it is worth buying?

My goals are to lose the last 14 - 20lbs fat, increase metabolism and reduce stress and I already use KBs and do yoga and bodyweight exercises but can always use a different approach to keep things progressing, so it sounds like what I am looking for.

Any views?

I have Kettlebell Express and Kettlebell Express Ultra, and I have done two other programs by Geoff Neupert (Kettlebell Burn 2.0 and Kettlebell Strong).

I highly recommend Geoff's work in general. He's a great teacher, and I think he's great at intelligent program design in terms of progression, fatigue management, etc.. One thing I would say about Kettlebell Express is that you should take very seriously what he writes in the opening pages of the PDF about the difference between programs and workouts. You are not going to be successful if you bounce from one program to another because they all do different things. So if you're a person who gets bored easily, this will probably not be right for you because most of the programs in this collection are fairly monotonous in terms of the movements themselves, though, obviously, they get progressively more challenging.

One thing I do take issue with Geoff on is his insistence that you not do any other kind of training while doing his programs, most of which are only 3 days a week for 20 or 30 minutes. He recommends this because he thinks people have a tendency to overtrain when they first start a new program, thinking the more work they do, the faster they'll see results, which ultimately leads to burnout. But as a very petite woman, losing half a pound a week takes every ounce of effort I can summon, and if I only worked out a grand total of an hour per week, my diet would basically have no room for error, and it would take me a year to lose my last 13 lbs.

Overall, if you have the discipline to stick to his programs and get your caloric deficit solely from your diet, then I think you will see slow but steady progress. You will definitely get stronger and better at kettlebell training.

Thanks jq2122. I did like what I read on Geoff Neupert's own site as he seems to have a down to earth approach to training and goal planning.

My main practise is daily Yoga and bodyweight pushups, pistol squats and pullups etc., so I would not be able or prepared to follow a single KB program, but doubt I would be overtraining if I combined the two. I find I also have to swim once or twice a week and commute to work by cycle to keep up a decent calorie deficit.

Like you I am a short figure and my desired physique would be slim and muscular but not so much that I lose flexibility and it takes every ounce of effort and calorie watching to maintain fat weight loss when I am on my last 14lbs to lose. It can take me four weeks to lose 2lbs and I can put it back on overnight if I let slip!

I think I am the kind of person who can follow a set simple program for a number of weeks so I aim to give this a go.

    Thanks for sharing.
