i am 5.2 ft and my goal was 115 lbs. In dec i got as low as 116.4 but since then have just gained and can`t seem to get back down or even hit my goal. I changed up my exercise routine and still no change. I log everything i eat and try to eat as healthy as i can. The last 2 weeks have really bummed me out and that has taken a toll on my eating habits and i have been snacking on things i normally don`t any more, they have not been great choices or i have been going over my cals. I am eating 1340-1400 cals on non workout days and up to 1650 on workout days. I am doing 2 30 min workouts during the week and 60 min workouts on the weekends each day. I try to get a 3rd 30 min workout if i can during the week but it doesn`t always happen. any suggestions how to get myself out of this funk and start losing again. as of this am i was 119.4, oh and i haven`t lost any inches either since dec

i actually choose to keep it closed just because so many have different opinions of what is good/ bad/ too much of certain things, etc it has gotten me so confused in the past... eg) some kept telling me not to eat oatmeal for breakfast every day b/c of the carbs or what ever and then some kept saying it was a great breakfast to choose.... I try to make great choices as much as i can, i have changed my diet i think a 360 from what it used to be. I measure and weigh all my portions as well... I try to drink enough water but i know that i still lack some days plus i also tried incorporating protein powder into my diet so i can get more protein. I actually am using it for making protein pancakes as it seems the only thing i like to drink now a days is water and i have a hard time drinking anything else...So i am 100% honest and i do take suggestions seriously. ask any question you like and i will be honest.

One suggestion if you do not want to open it to everyone, you can password lock it and PM me the password. Only SideSteel and I will use it. We will not make any comments about what you should or should not be eating for breakfast. That is not what we use the information for.

    ^ You're smart.

OP: Do the above please if you would like further help. We will need to see your diary.

OK, so we recommend the following:

Calories: 1,400 (no eating of exercise calories back)
    Protein: 100g - 30% (to nearest 5%)
    Fats: 42g - 25% (to nearest 5%)

The rest wherever you wish. Based on your diary, your fats are pretty good, but you will need to up your protein by quite a bit.

I would also recommend that you look into resistance training if you do not already do do (it did not seem that you did based on your details).

Make sure you are really accurate with your weighing and logging.

If you have any energy/adherence problems please get back to us straight away either vie PM or this thread, but otherwise, give it 4 weeks and touch back with us so we can see where you are.

awesome thanks so much, that is all very do able... so on days i burn more then 200 cals ( always sat and sunday) it will put me under 1200 cals. i thought you arn't suppose to eat under 1200 as it's also under my bmr?

i am trying hard with the protein as i bought my 1st protein powder :) i am not much of a drinker or anything except water, so i have been using it to make protein pancakes...i also have started to eat protein bars to up it as well. I was happy with todays amount of 93 grams as that has been the highest in a LONG time... so i will keep that up....

I do resistance training in my exercise dvd's like slim in 6 ( with the resistance bands) and 30ds/ripped in 30 and now doing 6 week 6 pack. I have been using 8 lb weights for those, can't quite do 10lbs yet.... I do the dvd's 4 days a week usually i try to get 5 in if i can.

oh and i guess after the 4 weeks i should see some movement again on the scale, otherwise how long should i stay at 1400 cals? i normally do 1340-1400 on days i don't exercise and up to 1650 on days i do....

Whether or not you eat under BMR is context dependent. I don't agree at all with the blanket statement to never eat under BMR. This method has you eating 1400 per day regardless of activity, so you will still be averaging intake over BMR if that eases your mind at all.

PM one of us in two weeks with a progress update and we'll go from there. In the PM, be sure to copy and paste the link to this thread

Not gross though. The 1,200 calorie thing is related to getting enough nutrients.
