Hi everyone! I just joined this group. I live in S. Jersey and I am registering this weekend for the Philly Color Run. Has anyone else done this 5k before or doing it this year?

I've been thinking of registering but am already waiting to see if I get into the Broad Street Run -- results will be released next week.

I've been thinking about doing it this year. I really wanted to last year but it didn't work out. Going to see if some of my friends want to too.

July 14th. 7am. It's not timed, and they seem to welcome walkers and joggers. Just no pets.

I'll be running, but I'm not going to try for any records, I'm going to enjoy myself!

I'l be running it but with my twins who'll be just shy of 5 years old at the time. So I'll probably get to run a 10k chasing after them in opposite directions. Cclearly time will not be on my priority list for this one but FUN is!

I signed up! (Wish I'd seen the groupon first) Gotta get back to attempting to run now that the weather is improving.

Just FYI - my friends did this last year. It's not really a "run" -- there's no chip timing and no clocks. They were really disappointed because they thought it was an actual 5K just with the fun colors thrown here and there. They said there are just too many people, that it gets log jammed and you basically spend an hour walking through the streets next to the Schukyill River. Their thought was they did it once, but weren't going to spend the money to do it again. Then again, this is coming from avid runners who train for marathons, so everyone and what they are looking for out of it is different. Just know, it's not a race.
