Oh yes, many of us have not only heard of it, but been through the program... it's awesome! Both myself and another user (Majope) gave some hints from our perspective on it on p.2 of the 2013 Indiana runs thread... But in short, I'd recommend:
1) get an app on a smart phone to track things for you (I used rundouble on Android, but there are many other apps out there)
2) take it slow - very slow - key is building endurance - speed will come later
3) repeat any days or weeks if necessary - if it takes you extra time to get through the program - no biggie0 -
I'm in the midst of it now and I really like it! I have the RunDouble app as well which is nice. Some of the runs look daunting at first, but each level really does prepare you for the next.0

Thanks guys....I have been researching it and I am really liking that it works on your own pace... I would like to be able to run with a friend of mine when this stupid weather breaks!!!0

I too have heard of the program. Thinking of doing it sometime...it's a bit chilly here in indy this time of year for my tastes of running outside.0

Me too...I am in Kokomo so our weather is a little worse than yours....0

Ick.. Im on the NE side, and i think we get kinda luck and miss a lot...the south side and further north up by you always seem to get it worse.0

I started it this week. I had used it in the past when I wasn't so obese and used the podcasts but I couldn't get those to work, so I am using a 5K coach app.0

I started C25K November 2011 and I'm running my second Mini marathon in May. I had a few repeat weeks when I started and the first time I had to run 20 minutes in a row about killed me, but I kept up with it. I've gotten over running in the cold and snow, but I still hate rain! ;-)
I used the C25K app.0 -
I do not enjoy running. I never have. I don't mind walking though..and when I was younger I would walk for hours on end. Is there a couch to 5K walking program? Even a couch to 10K walking program? 10K is 6.1 miles...right?0

I am starting this week provided the weather does it's part....0

I never enjoyed running until C25K... (actually, I'm not sure that I "enjoy" it yet, but I love the health benefits and sense of accomplishment I get... and the fact I burn twice as many calories in the same time as walking)0 -

Good luck - keep us updated on how you do!0 -
I am really pumped about it...I had a friend do this and she said that when she started it the pounds just fell off... I hope that happens for me too!!!!!!0

Just started on Sunday! So far so good!0

Good to hear! Good job on getting started!0 -
I wasn't a runner and finished the program. I'm now in the last run of the 5k to 10K program which I'll finish tonight and am looking for a half marathon trainer.
I loved the C25K program. My advice is get good shoes, don't start out too fast and have a varied playlist!0 -
I have rundouble for android as well. once this crazy indy weather breaks I"m sure gonna give it a shot. I feel like that may be the jump start I really need to get this weight loss off the ground!0

I'm also one that HATED running. Couch to 5K totally changed my life, as did MFP. I now love running, it's my favorite cardio. Try it out!0

I got about halfway through it last year . . . then fizzled out. I'm thinking about trying it again when the weather breaks! I can run on a treadmill at the fitness center at work, but I always do better when I can have the variety (and people-watching) on the Monon. I'm a fair-weather outdoor exerciser for sure, but I'm dying for spring so I can get back on the trail and on the bike with my daughter!!0
