I get bored with the same ole' same ole' workouts. I like to mix it up a bit, so I make an activity bucket list for the year. So far I have the 5K (carried over from last year), the Spartacus Challenge (doing it now), rock climbing wall, salsa dance class...Anyone do an activity they absolutely love and think I would too?

Thanks!
Jen

How about hiking the Grand Canyon? Also, one of my bucket list activites is a bicycle tour of Europe.

My son and husband did a zombie run. It is along the same lines as a mud run but you are trying to avoid the "zombies" stealing your flags.

This year my bucket list includes: Running a 5K, 10K and a half marathon. Learning how to mountain bike. Hiking at least 5 14'ers. I am also looking into the trail running series over the summer.

My 14 year old son was recently looking into Zorbing. He himself wants to do it but it's not for me. I know I'd throw up, You can do it on flat, down hill or on water. Looks fun.

    What about an underwater sport.

    Nordic walking.

    White water rafting.

Orienteering (I have done this with my family and it's brilliant).

How about Muay Thai? It's an *amazing* workout, builds strength, endurance and hitting things is great for stress. And it's fun!

I have done two mud run / obstacle courses. Absolute blast!
I also recently got a Jungle Gym TRX style suspension trainer, really a fun variation on workout day!

In New York and other fairly mountainous places we have fire towers atop most of the peaks - about 50 of them altogether, I think. They are fun little climbing jaunts, and you can move up to the tops of the towers at your own pace, bring people with you, and even have lunch at the top.

How about a kettlebell routine. I started one a few weeks ago and the results are awesome. The calorie burn is tremendous and the increase in muscle and strength is fast.

Try a TRI. I like the variation of doing three different things. Your training can consist of whatever you have time for in a particular day and whatever you feel like doing. Got lots of time and energy? Then, your practice session can combine swimming, biking and running. Today, I biked to the gym, did lap swim, then biked home. Two days ago, I went for a longer run and didn't do any biking or swimming. The combinations aren't exactly endless, but you can certainly make them interesting.
