Hi me and my hubby are about to do our first duathlon in 12 days time and just wondered if anyone has any tips they could give us about keeping our feet warm while on the bike, throughout our training our feet have frozen so much so that for the first mile of our run it actually hurts and now that the weather has gone colder again (unusual for this time of year we should be into spring now) I'm starting to think what I should wear help please

If you willing to spend $20-40, they make bike shoe covers and toe covers that slip on to block air/water. Pearl Izumi sells boths along with Castelli. If that's not an option, maybe tap a plastic bag over the front portion of the shoe to keep air from flowing through. Play around and see what works if the toe/shoe covers are out of the question

x2 on the toe warmers. Socks plus toe warmers should keep you from going numb.

I definitely recommend the toe covers. I ride my bike to work in below freezing temperatures sometimes. My toes are always toasty after I started wearing the covers!

My shoe covers are Castelli and are neoprene. They are heavenly!

Assuming you have normal bike shoes - there are holes in the bottom of them - use some duct tape and tape up the holes.
It will make a world of difference.

Think I'm going with toe covers I don't have bike shoes just trainers haven't got all the proper kit as this is our first event I thought I'd just see how I like it then think about more gear, the shoes might just be the first thing I buy, I plan on doing a lot more cycling afterwards as I love being on my bike thanks all x
