2021 Tris?
Looking forward to racing again after a year off due to injury followed by the pandemic cancelling all my races this year. So far, I'm signed up for the Patriot HIM in June and Ironman Chattanooga in Sept. I'm still waiting to see if the South Beach Olympic tri will be held in April. All entrants were deferred due to the…

Virtual Tri/Du
Anyone doing virtual races to keep the motivation up. My club is running a virtual du & tri, with no pools open we have to get a little creative with the swim portion - I opted for rowing. I hope they put on an Olympic distance soon...

Training ideas?
What are your plans for staying fit under social distancing? I've been working hard on my swimming since October but every pool in the city is now closed. Hopefully I'll be able to do some open water swimming in a month or so when southern lake temps are bearable with a wet suit. For now, it's running and at-home strength…

Happy New Year everyone! What are your goals and racing plans for the year. This will be the year I really learn how to swim. I joined a masters swim group in Oct (mostly triathletes), and plan to do a 5K OWS, The Ray Race, on Memorial Day weekend.

Has anyone raced Ironman Coeur D'Alene?
The 140.6 distance race will return to Coeur D'Alene in June, 2021. I am thinking about doing the race, followed by a visit to Glacier National Park, which is about 5 hrs away. Has anyone raced Coeur D'Alene, either 70.3 or 140.6? If so, would love to hear feedback on the course and overall experience.

Garmin Connect or Training Peaks Custom Workouts...please help!
When I am exercising, especially swimming, I can never remember what lap I am on, so I have been a huge fan of the ability to load workouts onto my Garmin watch. However, Garmin is stupid and their Swim workout builder does not allow you to add steps to repeats, even though every other workout option can allow it. On the…

Garmin vs Powertap pedal based power
I'm going to add power to my bike this winter. Homing in on single sided pedal style. Wondering if anyone has looked at Garmin Vector 3 vs Powertap P1s units. Seems like the Garmin may have longer battery life. Any other significant pros/cons that I should consider when choosing?
