Does any body have any tips or routines or whatnot to help lower body fat. I lose weight but my body fat percentage really hasn't moved much

You need to do resistance training. I would also use calipers to measure your fat. You undoubtedly have lost more fat than muscle.0

i lift weights 5 to 6 days a week and i lift heavy0

How are you estimating your body fat percentage?0

right now i'm using the BMI index and the scale i have at home.0

The scales are really not very accurate. There is a write up here. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/830595-body-fat-estimation-methods See under the BIA section.
If you are losing weight/inches and are strength training and getting enough protein, you will be losing fat.0 -
the scale is awful, i have one on mine at home and it's off.... you're better off with calipers....also I check mine against an inbody 230 that we have at work....gives readings from your feet/legs as well as your arms \m/0

well i have noticed some strength gains but i don't know about my protein intake, i highly doubt that i am getting the amount i need0
-
Not getting enough protein will probably not optimize LBM retention, but unless someone is on a very large deficit and/or not strength training and not getting enough protein, muscle loss will not > fat loss.0

i guess i need to figure out my body fat and eat more protein0
