I am officially finished with the program. I thought I wasn't going to be able to complete it after developing an issue with my left IT band during week 6 (man, it was awful, I actually took a kitchen rolling pin and used it to roll my IT band out like dough for a few weeks, hurt like heck too, but it fixed it), but I took a little time off and got back into it. Took me 2 weeks longer than I wanted, but it was worth it. To anyone out there thinking about starting, or anyone who has just started, keep it up. It works, and it's worth it.

Congratulations! It's a great feeling isn't it? I completed C25K yesterday and I'm still buzzing.

I ran a continuous 5 kilometers today for the first time in my life. I ran the first two days of week 9 just doing the 30 minutes it called for, but I was short on distance. Today I just went for it and ran the whole 3.1 miles. Took 40 something minutes, but hey running that long is an accomplishment too, right? When I first started, I thought I was going to die after running for a minute. Stick with it, because I am living proof that it works. You'll do great.

I'm just home from my 5K. The answer is YES! I could not have done it without the structure of the program. Well, I could have, but I might not have pushed myself hard enough. I also got held back a couple weeks with a health issue, but was determined to do the 5K I had originally planned for. Today was actually w9d2 for me.

CONGRATS!!! I start week 9 next! :D I bet it feels wonderful to complete the program! I was super hyped up after completing the week 5, day 3 thing...I can only imagine how pumped I will be after finishing the whole thing! ha ha! Plus, I definitely think running that long is an accomplishment!! I'm pretty slow still & I plan on continue trying to get a little faster/further after completing the c25k.

I'm soooo excited & happy for you! YAY!!!

Congratulations Anne and Wadedawg!!! You rock! You are amazing for pushing through all the physical and mental barriers that get thrown at you to become "distance runners."

Kathleen - congratulations on your 5k!
