Body By You - Cycle 1 Progress

I started this program a month ago so I've finished the first cycle. I had some trouble during this time period eating properly (was sick almost the entire time with a sinus infection) so only lost 2 pounds in the past month. But I was pleased that in spite of the small weight loss, I did lose 0.5 inches from my hips, 1 inch from my left thigh, and 0.5 inch from my right thigh. Not going to post any pics because it really isn't noticeable in the pictures, but I'm happy and looking forward to my next check in April.

Also, I feel stronger, I feel my balance has improved (didn't expect that) and have made a lot of progress in the all movement categories except pushups (still stuck with the hip height pushups with hands together).

Way to go! Just imagine at the things you'll be able to do by the end of the program. I'm loving it so far as well :)

Great work! I noticed a marked improvement in my push ups around week 8 of YAYOG. I think our upper body strength just takes awhile to catch up to the rest of us!

Did first day yesterday. Can't believe how stiff I am this morning. I love the programme.

That's awesome! The scale is the least of your worries, i'd have to say. Inches are where it's at! and strength!

I know for a fact I struggled with dem push-ups (and still do) in the beginning. One thing I found that works well (for me, at least) is to push it a little further every time. Try a rep down on the floor. If you can't do it, go back to the hip high elevation. If you can do one, try to get 2. Seems to progress faster if you actually try the moves you can't do just yet (while staying safe, a'course!). Heck, I try to do pull-ups every time I walk under something I can grab on to. One day it'll happen!

    Thanks everyone!

@krokador, the cycle 2 instructions include 'dynamic efforts' so I'm hoping to make some progress in the pushup category this week! I discovered some months ago I can do 4 regular pushups but didn't start there since I can't complete all reps. Maybe I should try mixing things up a little.
