Low Carb Pre Workout Snack?

What do you use/suggest for a lower carb pre-workout snack?

A Protein shake made with almond or coconut milk : )
or a handful of almonds
I have found that when low carbing properly you dont need to snack too much0 -
I always have an Atkins meal bar (peanut butter) because it's got a lot of calories and I need more calories to cover the gap between lunch and dinner. I don't worry about the fat/protein/carb ratio that is perfect for before a workout.
You can make your own protein bars too.
I also sometimes have fat bombs before a workout to get the calories in. You can do a google search for paleo fat bomb or low carb fat bomb. For me it's just coconut butter, coconut, figs, apricots and macadamia nuts. But that's a little high in carbs so you might want something better.0 -
