My husband and I are transferring to San Diego, CA in the beginning of April. Any good advice for jobs & off base housing??

    We haven't been stationed there, but my understanding is off base housing is really really difficult to come by with the BAH for there. Is there a reason you aren't planning to live on base?

    We are in SD and live in OFF BASE housing. We were actually fortunate enough to buy a home here. Housing here is nice although there are several places that do no allow animals so if you have animals your picks are pretty slim. Check out Lincoln Military housing for the list of locations...there is really no "on-base" housing here - there are just several military communities (housing areas) :) As far as job. You can always look into working at the NEX they seem to be hiring often. Good Luck to you! If you have any more questions please feel free to ask!
