Calories

I've lost 13lbs on my weigh in this morning since starting back on Dukan approximately 6 weeks ago. Oh so close to the 1 stone mark (maybe tomorrow!). As a result MFP has dropped my calorie recommendation to 1200. I still have 2 to 2 1/2 stone to go (not sure, I'll decide when I start getting close).

While some days I actually struggle to reach 1200 (and have had times when I've topped up with a protein drink so I didn't go too low), there are days when I really want to eat more.

I mostly log to keep an eye on my macros so that my carbs and fats don't go over 60 (they're often lower) and my protein around 160-170 but now I'm worrying about going too high on calories. Reading elsewhere on here people are saying that they think 1200 is too low and are actually more successful eating higher.

It's all so confusing! What does everyone else do? Should I just say 'sod the calories' as long as my carbs and fats are kept low?

Honestly, I average around 1200 a day and I try to keep fats and carbs as low as possible.
I make sure to track as if I don't I usually over do it on dairy, but I will hover about 200 over or under on any given day. It seems to be working for me as well. Don't eat less than 1200, any diet I've ever heard of warns against that.

    Thank you :-)

I definitely won't go any lower than 1200. On the days where I've struggled to get to 1200 I make sure that I have a protein drink to up my calories and proteins without adding to my carbs
