Okay, started out today with FB Calorie Blasting Cardio Boot Camp Workout. I was able to adjust the impact and go softly on my knees for most of it. Unfortunately, by the 3rd round, the side push thingies were twisting my knee too much and I had to stop there. Then I had to research my next planned workout (Fitness Blender Toning and Weight Loss Boot Camp) and found it would probably kill my knees too. Searched and search, and FINALLY found FB Weight Training for Fat Loss – 33 Minute Functional Strength Training Workout and it wasn't too bad on my knees (although they still hurt) but ran out of time and only got through round 1. (Disappointed!) I'm really bummed about my knees, because I don't want to have to crank down my workouts right now. BUT, I think I'm going to have to re-research my planned workouts and replace some of them, as needed, in order to let my knees try to heal. boohoo.0

Yep. U wld rather have a few days off and come back with healed knees than further hurt them and be forced to take weeks off. I had a little knee injury at the end of 30DS which played a big part in me taking a month off jillians dvds in february. I just dont want a life with knee problems.
RI30w4 D1 done! Yay! Its definitely easier than wk 2 and 3. My body isnt as flexible for the yoga moves but it will get there. Hows everyone doing today?0 -
Good day Tuesday, Partners
I am still enjoying my newest grandson and getting in my scheduled workout today. It was cardio and I did a Leslie Sansone DVD called 5 Fat Burning Miles. I did miles 1,2, 5 of this video and averaged 11.6 minutes per mile...did 40 minutes which included a cooldown. This workout involves "jogging" intevals, side steps, knee lifts, and high kicks with some involvement of using the arms for a lite upper body motion.
Be careful with those knees because there are many exercises that can be modified to protect them. I definitely avoid high impact movements because mine are "mature".
Have a terrific workout day everyone!0 -
Had a great walk at the park, 42min, and nice long stretch cooldown, plus doing some "heavy" shopping/carrying home (laundry detergent, canned goods, other heavy stuff). Every little bit counts.
(But, ohhhh, walking up & down all the stairs at the supermarket was hurtin' my knees. Not good. :frown: )
Checked over my week plan and found that most everything I have for the rest of the week will be fine for my knees. YAY! Only Friday is "if"-y, so, we'll see. But until then, some Pilates mat work that should be verrry nice. I'm gonna have to really think hard about my plan for April. Summer is coming and it's "go time", but I can't have an injury. think.think.think.
I'm also gonna hafta rethink my overall schedule. Spring has fully arrived in Athens and that means alot more being outside, so I've got to rethink my workout schedule too.0 -
Hi everyone!!
It was really pleasant here in Toronto for a change given the time of year.. I am looking forward to spending more time outdoors!
Today's workout consisted of 15 minute lifting in the lifting section of my gym (mostly squats, bench press), followed by a 30 minute Kettlebell class. Today's instructor and class is different than the one I usually go to in the evening and I got a good workout and burn from that one. After that class, I went back to the free weights area and did chest press and tricep exercises. Just came back from a light walk after dinner. A great day overall!0 -
Sounds like everyone has had a great workout today, easy day for me, just some body electric which is just some muscle work with light weights.0

Great job everyone! Today I did C25K W3D1. It was perfect weather for a run. I also took a 60 minute yoga class which I loved.0

Firstly, thank you for the invite to the group!
My workout for the day consisted of my usual gym group. We work out in the back of a pet store on Tuesdays and Thursdays (no joke, they have a shop cat called Ben who's prone to nuzzling up against you when you're doing ab-work) and our workout I guess is a mixture of carido and weights.
Today was the trainer I love to work out with. 15 minutes of killer cardio, followed by a circuit of weights (legs, arms, legs, arms, abs, legs, abs, etc) for the next 45 minutes. My favorite move tonight was the kettlebell squat, lower weight, and then holding onto the kettlebell, kick back into a burpee and repeat.
Overall, I broke a sweat and tried some news moves, so I'm satisfied.0 -

again, late posting.. but I want to get the posts out there and report in.
I didn't do squat. And I don't mean "squats" lol. I took a rest day. I didn't need it, and I shouldn't have taken it.. lately I take one day off and it turns into 2 or 3. Alas, I get back at it the next day finally.0
