I just started phase three. How am I supposed to do sprints? 30 secs af 8.0 and then walk for 30 secs? I tried that today and only lasted about 5 minutes. Or am I supposed to leave it on at 8.0 and sprint for 30 and then stand on the side rails for 30? How have you live fitters been doing it? I'm doing week 9 day 3 tomorrow and am somewhat aftaid that I won't survive!
Thanks!

I did mine on the Eliptical but then moved to the treadmill....yes sprint for 30 at 8 then move to the sides, I personally move it down to 2.5 and walk it out and then back to sprints...jump to the side lower and walk
You can do this!! I have Interval Trainer on my phone & it helps keep me going!0 -

Not gonna lie........PHASE 3 scares me. Good luck to you. I am only starting week 2 tonight.
To answer your question though; I believe you are supposed to run for 30 sec. then jump off...repeat until you're ready to get sick...lol0 -
Thanks Ladyjh. I'll let you know how long I make it before I puke all over. Lol.
MrsH. Is your profile pic results from LFT? Because, Wow! You look amazing!
And thanks for the help ladies!0 -
I do level 5+ (cannot do level 8 due to old injuries) for 30 seconds and hop to the sides to catch my breath for 30, then hop back on, off etc.
Week 9 sucks! I hurt!!! LOL0 -

No I can't credit all my progress to LiveFit but I can say I had no shape before starting LFT, LFT has brought my waist in & best part booty is growing lol
I'm never stop lifting after this! I started dabbling in lifting back in 2010 but got pregnant after 2 months
When I got back to the gym after my son I was in horomone hell so I did classes to keep me intrested like BodyPump weight class but that has got nothing on LFT!0 -
Week 9 is really hard! Granted I got sick on second to last day of it (yesterday) so had to quit mid workout and didn't go at all today. I think I'm getting pretty burnt out being at the gym 6 days a week for 90+ minutes. I'm starting to think about taking a break for a week. What do you who have done it think? I know it's only three weeks left but it is getting so hard to get myself to the gym, I'm pretty much dreading my workouts now.0

I personally love the 90+ minute workouts
But listen to your body...is it your body needing rest or your mind phycing you out?0 -
Does anyone have any recommendations on what I can do instead of the high impact cardio?
I'm basically post hip reconstruction operation and I am forbidden to run or do high impact sports for the rest of my days so would love an alternative?0 -
PhoenixRising- I'm dealing with a back injury now and so I'm not able to run, which used to be my go-to cardio for sprints and burning serious calories. I can totally sympathize with where you are now and hope you feel 100% soon.
The elliptical is maybe an obvious answer for low-impact cardio, and there thankfully are several models. I don't much feel like I've gotten a significant workout on those. What I've been using instead is a stepmill or gauntlet, which is basically a set of rotating stairs. I do them slowly, but I find that machine provides a combo of benefits similar to weights and cardio. Can you do that with your hip? I say try that if it's an option. Another option can be swimming. (but it's no option for me because I'm a terrible swimmer!)0 -
Thanks for the reply Jellf1sh! Hope you get better soon too!
I'm afraid my ban from high impact is for life. I know I will need further operations in the future and the less impact I have on the joints the longer my current op will last before needing a full hip replacement. I'm 26 so need to keep my original, albeit deformed hip for as long as possible!
I don't have access to the gym at the moment either as do not have the funds for a membership but my sister has a cross trainer at her house which I believe is the same as an elliptical so I am going to try this option until I can get to the gym. I will try out the gauntlet and stepmill once I have gym access though thank you!
Do the cardio phases of this programme mean basically anything as long as its interval training then?0
