Hi, I did the TDEE calculations and from that I've discovered that I should be eatting 2348 calories.... I burn between 1100 to 2000 calories a day and some days its hard just to eat 1460 calories let alone 2000 plus. At first I lost from 185-156 (began 1/2012), but took a turn for the worse and the weight started coming back on inspite of my efforts. I'm now at 175lbs and lost at what direction to go?? I welcome any sound advice and encouragement!!
Thanks,

Hun trust me, when you start eating more your body will eventually crave more food and you will wonder how you ever ate so few calories. To burn major calories and support your system you have to fuel it.
Give it a go...just try it. Give yourself 6mos....reset your metabolism by eating TDEE for 8-12 wks and then take a small cut of 10% for four weeks, then TDEE for a week then another cut maybe 15% and keep cycling that way.
Lift heavy and lay off too much cardio...

Lucia I had asked the group before twice, but no response, maybe you can answer?
What is the reason behind 30% protein as opposed to shooting for a fixed number based on LBM or weight?
Thanks!0 -
We give it as a starting point since most people don't know their bf%. So it is a estimate to aim for... 30% usually gets most to around a gram per pound.0

Also, what's the reasoning behind doing more weights and less cardio?
Thanks. I don't currently do any weight training (insert ashamed face). I want to start exploring adding weights, but was curious as to the rationale for more weights less cardio...especially since I enjoy Cardio in the form of long, meandering walks.0
