My Boa Constrictor wrapped herself around my toddler...HELP!

So, I have a boa constrictor and I've had it for going on ten years now. Sinderella, my boa, has never liked my son Jake. She's ALWAYS been jealous of him, but Jake has also never really tried to warm up to her. So I have to say that they're really both at fault here.

Well, long story short, Sinderella seems to have managed to either get out of her enclosure, or maybe Jake somehow got in. See she has her own climate controlled room in our house and the door is like always locked, but somehow, Jake is in there and she's coiled around him and he does not look happy and nor does she.

I have tried talking to them both but they seem unwilling to resolve their differences. I love jake, but technically Sinderella was here first and I think she's entitled to some respect. On the other hand, Jake is my flesh and blood and I would hate to see him slowly asphyxiated and then swallowed whole.

I just don't know what to do! Does anyone have any experience in these kinds of situations? HELP!

You shouldn't have a toddler. Solves a lot of problems.

If you have more children, you can use them for feeding the snake, and as a bonus, they won't as old as Jake, and you won't become so attached to them.

OMG! Where were you when I needed someone to punch his mama in the belly? It's a little late now!

This. This is good advice, but I can't think that Sinderella would go for it.

I will bear this in mind going forward, but in the meantime...snake...wrapped around toddler.

Oh goodness no! Jake's one of them store-bought babies what they grow in the dish and then shoot up in the woman's gloriest of glories with a fancy-pants turkey baster. They did grow him from my tooth though. Sigh. There were my last one.

Snakes make great pets! You need to teach your toddler how to respect pets and care for them properly otherwise the pet may become unpredictable and possibly dangerous. This situation is never the pets fault, but that of the owners. Therefore your child may be causing their own problems in the future. JS

Obviously you're doing it wrong. Take a lesson from these folks:

  • You should take your baby to be baptized in one of those snake handling churches

I don't know you, but it's clear to everyone who has ever seen the world wide webpage that this advice is flawed and that you may have an STD. I will not stand here and allow your to spew disease at all of us!

Maybe you should buy a cat to wrestle the snake off of the kid.

Wait; get that dam snake away from the baby at least until you can get a video camera set-up and sell some tickets to the wrestling match between the two of them.
