I Finished Week 5!

Two months ago, I probably would have laughed if anyone had suggested that I could run for 20 minutes straight. I could only get through about 45 seconds without walking. It took me three weeks to get to the point where I could complete week 1.

Up through the end of week 4, each run was definitely a physical challenge for me. Week 5 was completely a mental challenge. When I wanted to give up in the middle of an 8-minute run on day 2, I realized that my body had no issue with what I was doing. My breathing was good, my legs felt good, it was just my stupid head that didn't think I could run anymore! I've still got 104 pounds to lose, but I'm a runner now!

Plus, I got a job offer yesterday (I've been unemployed since July), so my week kind of rocks. Happy dance time!
