I was recently presented with a research report analysis based on the best ways to infiltrate an online community. Based on my experience this site has a perfect mixture of like minded people and would show a great example of diversity. So if you come across this post and have a few minutes please answer a couple of the questions. Thanks for your participation

Is there anything you would change with the community?
What keeps you coming back to the community?
How has the website helped you?
What advice would like give a new comer?
Are there unwritten rules to the community?
What do you believe is the goal of the Myfitnesspal.com community?
What is essential for proper etiquette when being an active member of the community?
Who do you believe is the dominating demographic in the community?

One of your other recent posts states that you are a student in the medical field. Are you using this survey as research? Are you intending to use this information for a class or to publish?

If so, this is considered human subjects research, and the way you have gone about it violates federal regulations. You must be upfront about all research projects and provide informed consent about the entire project. Not only that, but the proposed project would need to be reviewed and approved by your institution review board before you can conduct the survey.

not at all buddy. creative writing class and for those who were generous enough to participate there has been a consent for as well as professor verification so from a legal stand point things are covered. thank you very much for your input and good luck on your weight loss journey.

Actually, that's still human subjects research. Usually teachers have blanket IRB approval for students who take their class, although it's a shame they don't explain the process as it would be a good learning experience. Glad you got what you needed, although it would have been nice if you were more upfront in your advertisement about what you were using the information for.
