Dripping with sweat. No nausea though! Yaaay! I don't feel like I did all that well, but at least I finished and took fewer breaks than I thought I would!

Suicide jumps look so easy when everyone in that gym does them...I couldn't believe how much effort it took me just to get my legs in and out!

Week 1 Day 2: Plyometric Cardio Circuit
I actually survived better than I thought I would! I think I had it so built up in my head that I thought it actually might kill me and then the reality didn't seem so bad Don't get me wrong, I was in a heap on the floor by the middle of it, I did nowhere near the number of reps they did, and my heart rate monitor still nearly exploded, but I did it!
HRM said I burned a little over 500 calories - not bad for a 40 minute period that included two rounds of stretching!0 -
I also did okay. They were going to fast when it came to the last circuit. The Push-Ups and all that. I was trying to go at my own pace but it was just making me mad LOL. I did the best I could though. WE MADE IT THROUGH DAY 2! Wooooo! I'm already sore as hell. I wish I had a HRM it would be nice knowing exactly how many calories I've burned.0
-
Completed the day 2 workout earlier this afternoon. I agree with dcgirl and shalla about thinking it would be way harder than it was (even though it was still hard)! The last circuit really killed me as Shalla said because they were going so fast and it was hard to keep up. I took a couple of breaks and modified a few things but all in all I think it went pretty well. As expected, I was on the floor by the end of it! Ready for day 3 tomorrow!0

Just did Plyo, ahhh thank God for the stretching portion because that cardio was no joke. Hope to get better as I go. (My poor muscles don't know what to do at this point)
Good job everyone...Keep going and keep logging!0 -
Yeah, I thought the soreness would kick in later tonight or tomorrow.. Boy was I wrong LOL. Immediately after the workout my legs and upper back muscles were starting to hurt. Has anyone took a sneak peak at tomorrows workout? I just want an idea of what were doing but I don't feel like going to the living room and popping it in.. LOL #lazymood.0

Did plyo on Monday!0

I feel you. Day 3 Complete! It was intense. He wasn't kidding when he said you will be in a pool of your own sweat. I was sweating like a pig. Sweat all over me, sweat all over the floor and my mat. It was crazy. Can't wait for the Recovery workout tomorrow. I did the best I could. My hip flex er on my left side hurts. It hurts to lift my legs up but it is what it is. Anyways, how did you guys do?0 -
Week 1 Day 3: Cardio Power and Resistance
Am I the only one who thinks those "stretches" are not really so much of a break? I ended up sitting down on the floor and doing my own thing after my muscles couldn't balance me anymore I think I need to start doing yoga...

Just finished Day 3!! Wow that last circuit with all the hurdle jumps and globe jumps was killer! I could barely do the cool down stretches for how tired my legs were. I also need to figure out that triceps move...I didn't understand how to make my elbows bend like they did :P
Anyway...another workout done and one day closer to completing Insanity! Good job guys!!0 -

I was so tired during that part that when I looked at what we were doing I was like whatever LOL. I tried to do one and I just could not get my hips up.0 -

This DVD is already living up to it's name. I have a love/hate relationship with Shaun T forming.0 -
Week 1 Day 4 CARDIO RECOVERY!! (Thank Goodness!!)
Hey everyone! I just finished cardio recovery and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it! I know it's just a recovery workout but it's still quite intense. I was actually able to do the whole thing which was a real confidence boost. I think the exercises in this one hit all the right places and I really do feel much better after having done it. Another surprising thing was that after the workouts the past two day, I thought for sure I was going to wake up sore as hell this morning, but.....that wasn't the case! Sure, getting out of bed was a bit hard on the muscles, but after a few minutes of walking around I was fine. I find that's a real difference from a lot of workout programs I've done before. Even running too much two days in a row leaves me super sore on day 3. I guess Shaun T really does know what he's doing LOL! Good luck to everyone on Day 4! Keep up the great work
ps: I'm scared for tomorrow...Pure Cardio...uhh isn't that what we've been doing?! :P0 -
@lildaug
LOL! 2 is great! I agree it was alittle fast. I felt like I was moving in mud - I need to get lighter on my feet. Like 20 lbs lighter!0 -
Day 4 (((CARDIO RECOVERY)))
The stretching was well deserved!
I see you guys logging and getting it done, makes me proud! :smooched:0 -
ps: I'm scared for tomorrow...Pure Cardio...uhh isn't that what we've been doing?! :P
Hahaha! I feel the same way. I don't know what to expect. I guess we shall see eh? I haven't done the recovery workout yet because I've been doing homework with friends literally all day since I woke up. Can't wait to get home and do it though. Sitting on my a** is making me stiff..0 -
I actually thought the recovery was quite diffucult. Not as flexible as I used to be - thinking on Sunday (Rest Day) I might try and do some yoga and increase my flexibility - I have P90x Yoga but its 1.5 hours long. So might try with that and see how I get on. Looking forward to pure cardio tonight! :-s0
-
Just completed Day 3 - Cardio Power and Resistance and I am already sore. Looking forward to tomorrow's Cardio Recovery.0
-
I completed the Cardio Power and Resistance last night - going to complete Cardio Recovery tonight. One thing I have noticed is that my calves are really sore, maybe from the jumping and being more on my toes.
Anyone else have the same issue?0 -

The muscles in my calves are usually sore after I workout and when I wake up. It gets better the more I move and get on with my day. It's natural that they are a bit sore since we are working them so hard. For me though it's very slight and not at all painful.0 -
Yeah my calf's were a bit sore too. They're okay now though. I guess cause I warmed em up. I can not believe we are on Day 5 of Insanity already! It's like what?! I just completed the Pure Cardio workout and I must say that was easier than Plyo and Cardio Power.. Don't get me wrong it was tough just not as tough as I thought it would be. I feel good. I decided to get a jog/walk in today since I'm up to it. Just want to say that everyone is doing a great job! Keep it up! :drinker:0
