^^ So, atm, I'm at "How do I do it?" with a full-house and no sign of my husband going anywhere with the kids. It's overcast, but I could possibly hit the park for walk/run...since my home is totally occupied. We'll see after lunch.
Hope everyone is having a perfect Saturday!0 -
Good morning everyone
I woke up to snow this morning, suppose to just be just a few squals they say...but is pretty darn steady. Enough! I have a sore quad today, not sure how that happened, but if I try to run it will be on the TM. Then I can just get off if it bothers me. I do have a stairclimber as well so might give that a try. Hopefully I can do SOMETHING. We often go out to dinner on Saturday so tongiht I will have to be careful if we do. I had a good day yesterday and really dont' want to mess up tonight.
Sherry, I hope that you are able to get your workout in today at some point, the park for a run sounds like a great idea. It sounds like you are doing really well with your running, keep it up! Just curious what time zone you are in? I'm in Nova Scotia Canada....Atlantic time zone.
Pam - I'd say that the headache was definitley just a passing thing, dehydration maybe, but much better today! I would like to trade weather with you please!!! hehe
Toni - sounds like a great workout yesterday, I haven't done any arm work in awhile, I always seem to focus on my lower area. I should really do some arms soon.
mycrazy8 - ugh....the snow must go! I am tired of it, we have some today but it is not going to accumulate I don't think. Great hike for you and the kiddos!
Ashley - you have reminded me of all the paperwork that awaits me at my desk! Eek....I really need to get to that
ctpeace - you have a great long run today! I wish I was running today, but I think my quad may disagree
Jessmart - great turbo workout! Got to love any workout where you burn over 500 cals
Have a great weekend everyone !0 -
I hope everyone is having a great weekend!
Turbo Fire Core 20 and Stretch 40 this morning. While doing stretches on the floor my cat decided to pounce on me, not fun at all!
Off to the mall with my daughter in a few hours, then date night with the BF tonight (it has been a while). Gonna see Evil Dead and so excited.
Have a great day :happy:0 -

Oh no! Cats like to keep us on our toes:devil: . Mine used to sleep on my 5' tall lingerie chest, and would jump down by jumping first onto the bed, then the floor. Except in the middle of the night (when I was dead asleep), that meant leaping directly onto my belly!! :noway: Have a fun date night!
maureli, I'm in Greece, so it's Eastern European time, which is 7 hours ahead of US Eastern time. But, my family and I are night owls, so I usually stay up late and sleep waaay in...making my schedule is a little bit closer to some American early birds (but not exactly). NS time is also slightly ahead of US Eastern?
Oh, right, back to business! I did 2/3 of the <<ERMAGERD 84 minute 1000 calorie workout>> from Fitness Blender. I did the warm-up, the strength, the abs, and the cool-down stretch. So, only skipped the "death by intervals" HIIT cardio section, for a total of 54 minutes. I really love that workout sooo much. I just like the moves they selected and I like the set-up of: ALL cardio, then ALL strength, and then ALL abs. FitBlendr recommends doing HIIT only about 3x/week... and with good reason, dang HIIT's hard! So, I think I'm gonna just split my favorite workout, to do warmup+HIIT+cooldown one day, then warmup+strength+abs+cooldown the next. And if all goes according to plan, I'll walk in the park (+pullup practice) on the HIIT days and I'll run in the park on the strength days. Well, that's the new plan anyway. I think my knees like this plan, so it should be "do-able".
Hope everyone has a fun-filled Saturday night and makes good decisions that they can live with! My husband has cooked two days in a row and he likes to cook HEAVY foods...so I'm gonna have my work cut out for me!
Read y'all later!!0 -
Hi, everyone!
I am going to go on a little walk/hike on my in-laws property with a relative that is visiting from Canada. They are on their way to the Florida Keys. So I think I will be at my in-laws for the weekend. It is nice to visit and avoid cleaning our place for a couple more days. hehe. Well some more people just came in and I am going to get off here. I will try to check in later.

Maureli: snow? i hate to be you right now.
Jess: The cat wanted to stretch too.
Sherry: am glad you got a workout in.
I got my run in at the gym yesterday. Just got back from doing my hair, will try to get some kettle bell workout tonight.0 -
A few of us ended up sitting and talking for a while about some of the challenges facing me and my hubby. It was nice conversation.I really am blessed to have such good in-laws and relatives. Happy hour hit and so I lost my hiking partner but I went ahead and walked for half an hour by myself. It felt really good. I did some mindfulness/meditation as I walked and it was good to have some time alone. I am definitely a people person and need to take more time to myself to reflect and think. I am going to start doing yoga as soon as my friend gives me this yoga video called yogosopholy. I just need to meet up with her. I was talking to someone I know that is a therapist and she told me to focus on self care more. So I have been trying to get 8 hours of sleep, eat more of a plant based diet, do yoga daily, and exercise regularly. I am hoping it will help my concentration, memory, and just to feel better.
I know what you mean by cats disturbing you. Mine don't pounce so much but one of our cats likes to lick me to death at 4 o'clock in the morning until I wake up. I hate that but I don't have the heart to put her out of the room the whole night just when she wakes me up!
Fromhereonout: You got quite the workout in. I am impressed! Good for you! Sounds like you have a good exercise plan in place. I need to start running again. I like how you are mixing it up. I haven't heard of the ERMAGERD workout before. It sounds intense.
Jessmart83: I hope you have a fun date with your BF.
Maureli: You reminded me that I still have more paperwork to do. It is never done it seems!
I am enjoying this lovely Saturday! Hope you guys are too!!Ashley

Somehow I convinced myself to get my StrongLifts5x5 out of the way this morning before dragging all four kiddos to my son's baseball game. I have an easier time doing it by myself than with my husband, because it takes half the time. I'm still sore from taking off two weeks. Hoping maybe in a couple more days my quads won't be screaming anymore. *fingers crossed*0

Good evening partners....The weekends are usually my official rest days but I counted walks at Lowe's Home Improvement , grocery shopping, and outdoor work as extra physical activity today.
LizardQueen: why are you still sore after taking off two weeks? Did you injure yourself exercising? Be careful and hope those quads heal real soon.
Ashley: I enjoy those walks alone when I can meditate/pray. It leaves me with a feeling of peacefulness and strength to get through the day.You were given some sound advice about focusing on "self-care". We as women have a tendency to place others before ourselves much to often...it is just our nature.
steadybutsure: how was that kettlebell workout?
Sherry: have a great night0 -
hi all!
sorry i've been MIA for the last couple days, i went on a weekend trip to visit some friends and my boyfriend, but i did workout throughout the couple of days (thank goodness!) hope you have all had productive healthy and fit week!

Hi everyone its late but checking in. Okay went to dinner st BJs Brewery..had every intention on making a good choice but needed to eat a lot of calories so I could get my workout on... I ordered a cup of tomato Tuscan bisque soup and Mahi Mahi grilled tacos. Soup was Great but then 45min later they hadn't brought my tacos which they told me they served to another table,by then I was no longer hungry.. smh
Well I came home got ready to call it quits because I get dizzy and lightheaded on few calories... but I just couldn't go to bed. I popped in my P90x Kemp video and went to work. I'm super sore from the legs and back workout, but wanted to do something.. glad I did...I felt way better once I warmed up these sore muscles...
P90x KempoX 58 min....
Have a good one0 -

Oh, no injuries. I've taken off the last two weeks (slacking) and I'm sore from the two workouts since I picked back up in the last three days. My muscles are feeling much better today though. Thanks for asking! :flowerforyou:0 -
