No, but I'm looking for something interesting in Early May, if you have any ideas. I've heard the color run is pretty rocking anyway.0

Wish I could. I'm not quite back up to 5K yet but that one sure looks like fun. I'll definitely be doing it next year, or find another around here before then.0

Melody, I have a small group from work that are going along with me. We're walking it though, as most of us weren't ready for running.
I AM going to jog/walk the Peachtree Road Race on 4th of July though!!
@ Vardaemi: There's the Cinco de Mayo 5K.... at the end of the race, there's the start of the Cindo party0 -
Anyone in the ATL area: I am always looking for 5K's (and others) to do.. My only sticking point is that Saturday runs are near impossible for me to do, as I work on Sat and cant' get them off very often.
The Cinco de Mayo run is on a Sunday. There's Color Me Rad on 13Apr (Sat), Run or Dye on 3Aug (Sat) and then another Color Run on 28Sept (Sat- I am trying to go to that one if this one goes well).0 -
I'm looking at either the Jonquil jog in Smyrna or Sopes Creek on the 27th. May 5th is probably a better date for me though. And it looks fun for the kids. Hmmm.
I do the Marietta Gobble Jog in November.
I used to walk the Jingle Jog in Sandy Springs, but that's just too cold for the kids. I'm thinking about the Peachtree for next year...there's a good chance I'll be pushing a stroller so I need to get my times down first.0 -

Atlanta area folks:
There's the Cinco de Mayo (5May) 5K you can do if you're interested.. not really a family thing though from the sounds. After the race, the drinking and partying begins.
11May is the Electric Run 5K down near McDonough at the Atlanta Motor Speedway (same as today's Color Run). It's the night time version of the Color Run, put on by the same people with day-glo colors and electric lights, etc.. I have a small group of friends from work and extensions of those friends joining us for that one.
There's always the Atlanta Marathon as well in Oct. They have a 5K, Half Marathon (13.1 m) and Full Marathon (26.2 m)
If anyone's interested in keeping a group going for any of the 5K's, I'd love to do that.0 -
There is also the SuperCon 5k at the beginning of June. Fun for geeks or people who just want to be super heroes for a day.0

Unfortunately most of the other run events I've found are on Saturdays, the SuperCon included. I work Saturdays and it's very rare for me to be able to take the day off. The Color Run was my 2nd Sat off this year already and my boss isn't happy about it. If the Post Office really goes to no more mail delivery on Saturdays, maybe I can get a Saturday off more frequently lol.0
