Need advice on whether it can be done!

Hey all!

I'm beginning my 4th week of recovery from a stress reaction/response (not as severe as a stress fracture). I'm to do 2-3 more weeks in a walking air cast. Since I can't run, I need some other form of exercise and have been dying to do Chalean Extreme!

For those that have done it (lets start with at least the first circuit/phase) how much moving is necessary in the bottom half? Are you mainly standing in an area at once? I know there are cardio days, but my main concern is the weight days. I have no problem walking, bending, leaning.... I just cant do any quick movements which is also why I thought Chalean could be a great workout in the mean time.

What are the opinions? Hold off or can it be done?

Thanks y'all!

I would think you could modify it. You just may have to cut out any squats or lunges that she has you do, and skip the two cardio sessions. But you probably could do the upper body exercises. It's better than doing nothing.

I agree. If you're okay squatting that would be good. Lots of those. And lots of lunges and some with calf raises which you'd likely have to skip doing. The cardio would be too much. There's 2 great ab workouts and a 'recharge' (yoga/stretch) you could do as well. Plus lots of upper weight workouts. I'd go for it and modify as necessary. You will love Chalean!

Thanks y'all. I figure if after I complete what all I can do- I could always just restart the burn phase after the first round so I could get the full workout.... think so?

Sure -- or just proceed from where you've left off. I'm not so certain there's any magic to the way CLX is structured except to inject variety into the workouts.
