muscle loss v retention

I am happy with my muscle mass but i am trying to cut my fat percentage. Will eating calorie deficits and cardio burn muscle instead of fat??? HELP PLEASE i am age 18 . 5 foot 10. weigh about 173 pounds and have a fat percentage of 17% (hoping to get to 10%)

    As long as you keep your calorie deficit very low (less than 500 calories per day, which would net a fat loss of 1 lb per week), you shouldn't affect your muscle mass. But be sure you continue to lift progressively heavier weight, increase the percentage of protein in your diet and monitor your fatigue/workout intensity. If your workouts start slipping, get your calories back up and cycle down again later.

    Yah lose very slowly and you should be ok 10% is really not all that low and you should not have to give up mass to acheive that. That is if you know how to keep your macros in line with what you are trying to accomplish.
