Burn Circuit 3 Question

On the Burn Circuit 3 workout, what is the difference supposed to be between the Deltoid and Lateral raises? They look identical to me, so I'm not quite sure I'm doing one of them correctly.

yes good question. I agree and was wondering the same. Not sure I'm working anything differently. I know you're supposed to bend right forward for one of them. I just try to do exactly what Chalean says and hope I'm doing it right. I'm totally weak in that area and have to use lighter weights.0

I had to Google this one. Apparently, it is because one is leaning forward a bit and one is standing straight up. I personally hate the ones leaning forward. I'm so much weaker on those. I had forgotten how many posterior flies are in Burn 1 until I redid it last night. Holy smoke! I can still only do 5 lbs on those and even then my form is not all that great.0

Thanks! I'll have to watch carefully the next time I do Burn 3 to make sure I'm leaning the right way. I don't think I've been doing them differently at all.
I agree with the posterior fly! I just finally bumped from 5 lbs to 8 lbs this past week, and I can barely get 10 out. I'm guessing I'll be at 8 lbs for a while haha.0 -
I tried 8 lbs on the flies in Burn 1 last night and my form was so poor that I feel like I lied saying I did 10-12 reps. :laugh: Nearly every other exercise showed an increase in weights from when I first went through Burn the first time. It's going to be tough increasing those because it's a big jump from 5 to 8 lbs. I really need 1lb increments to get me there.0

yes I think I was at 5 1bs too, when I was at 12 or 15 for other exercises. You will love Push!!0

Old topic, I know, but I'm glad this was posted. I'm not sure I'm really feeling it right.
Also, I really want to go heavier on some but trying to focus on getting two moves right is too much. Like I know I can lift way more on the squat but can't even think about increasing weight when doing a posterior fly in the middle of it!0 -
yes I'm so weak on all the 'fly' exercises. In LEAN I actually have to drop to 5 1bs and Chalean uses 7.5 1bs. It's hard!!0
