Pretty satisfied today. I haven't been really following my plan of 1200 cals/day, but i feel like a)its not healthy and b) too darn difficult.
Exercise was lazy as I need to get in more biking and running yet also didn't do my complete calisthenics workout.0 -

Jayne, your instincts are right! If you're going to tone up and get your weight back up, you'll have to eat more than 1200 cals/day. To get healthy, it is important to workout...and to workout, you have to fuel your body. It can take awhile to find the daily calorie "sweet spot", but with some experimentation, I'm sure you'll find a level that gives you energy and builds muscle.0 -
Today I'm stuck with the kids at the park because frankly if I have to stay home with them I'll go insane!
It's a beautiful day and the walk will be nice and I'll probably be carring lil girl. Hopefully there'll be enough hours left in the day to get some kind of planned workout at home.0 -
Good morning buddies!
I guess its been a couple of days since I checked in. Its going to be a tough weekend in a way...its my birthday today and we are going out to dinner with 4 other couples. And, my mother is making me a birthday pie (I always have birthday pie not cake..lol) Another reason I like to have the pie is because my family likes it better as well so it will get eaten very quickly!
I have been doing good getting my strength workouts in on my no-run days. Things are looking pretty good, I feel like i have gotten myself out of the winter-rut I have been in. I have an Insanity workout that I haven't tried out yet, might do that this morning. Fast and Furious its called.
Need to go and read yesterdays post and see how everyone else is doing.
Have a great day!!0 -
Good morning pals!
It is another gorgeous weather day here in Central Texas area....partly cloudy and 66 degrees with calm breezes. Saturdays are usually a “scheduled rest day” from fitness but I've already put in 2 hours of gardening (hoeing, pulling weeds, dumping debris back & forth across the property) this morning. I definitely "logged" this as general gardening for sure! The rest of my day has "unknown" plans...lol...I'll just go with the flow....possibly a little reading and TV watching.
Maureli: I sent you a friend request this morning. HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!:drinker: :flowerforyou:  Make the most of your beautiful day...be celebrated and just enjoy it ALL!!
Sherry: You do the same having a great time at the park today. Did you schedule a Saturday workout?
Sending each of you great day vibes!!0 -
maureli: Happy Birthday!!!
Pam: way to hit the yard work!
Well, playground time ran long...verrrry long! It's nearly 8pm and we just got home. The kids had a great time and the weather/temperature was absolutely perfect. My husband even joined us there! Unfortunately it's just too late to workout--there's dinner and bedtimes to deal with. I would usually have Sat & Sun as rest days (but open to make-up for lost days), and since I lost days this week due to my son's stuff, I was hoping to get something done today, but no-go. I'm kinda wanting to do that arms workout from yesterday again...I'm thinking that'd be a good one for tomorrow.0 -
Got busy yesterday and didn't have a chance to check in. I got my SL5x5 knocked out in the morning, helped the lumberyard delivery man unload our materials for the porch my husband is building (including two 80 lbs bags of concrete), and then had to rush to a parent meeting at my daughter's school about spring festival, bake sale, and pre-k graduation! Came home and did some cleaning up in the yard and helped with concreting posts (including carrying two 80 lbs bags - lol). Did a bunch of cleaning around the house because I'm working 12-hr shifts today and tomorrow. Since I'm working the long shifts this weekend I'm just going to make them both rest days and pick back up on Monday. I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! :drinker:
P.S. Happy birthday, Maureli! Let them eat pie!0 -
Ok looks like we all had some nice weather today, I did a 10 mile bike ride this morning. It felt great to be outside but it was very windy. Spent the rest of the day doing some spring cleaning and housework. Supposed to be 77 here tomorrow, Yard work coming up.0

My hubby and I did a side job today for my father-in-law. We cleaned his tractor inside and out including waxing the hood and roof of it. It took ALL day! But we are done now. So i definitely got a workout today. I plan to rest tomorrow. My hubby hurt his big toe really bad and so we haven't been to the gym since Monday. My hubby is trying to live healthier lately. And i know if i push too hard he won't want to do it all. So I am trying to be careful and not rely on using his guest membership too much. I used my elliptical a couple of times last week so that was good.
maureli: happy birthday! i hope you had a super day! birthday pie. what a lovely idea! what flavor did you enjoy today?
lizardqueen: 80 lb bags. That is some serious lifting.
fromhereonout: sounds like you had some good family time today at the playground. that is nice! i know you will get that arm workout or some other workout soon.
pam: sounds like you had a nice relaxing day. what kind of garden do you have? is it a bigger one?
hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and getting some good activity/exercise in!
