My husband has signed us up for a 10k tomorrow morning. I am a tad bit nervous. My half marathon is in 3 weeks. Do I race tomorrow or just run it? It is supposed to be a good route for PR.

I'd say race it. I've got a half on May 5th and a 5k this Sunday. The 5k is part of a series I want to do wel in, not connected to the half. So even though I should technically go easy on the 5k and complete my mielage for the day, I've decided to just run it as well as I possibly can and continue with my normal training schedule on Monday.

That looks like a fun race. I live down in Lynchburg but if I weren't doing a Sprint Tri Sunday I'd mosey on up and do this.

Three weeks out from your half, I say, this 5km is perfect timing for some intensive speed work - go as hard as you can.

So, what did you decide? How was the race?

Raced it  Wasn't too bad, no hurt afterwards! Unofficial time was 53 mins 58 seconds....Hubby finished a minute ahead of me and got out of corral only to get back on the course to run me in.
