I was curious, do you use a mixed grip or overhand grip for DL?
I have been doing just overhand because the mixed feels so weird to me

I will never use gloves unless maybe my hand happen to be cut open and I absolutely needed to train. If I'm at a gym that doesn't allow chalk, I'll go barehanded. You can use the over hand grip for now, but when the weight gets heavy, the mixed grip will be much more efficient.0

Gloves, straps & overhand grip. Not a fan of the underhand grip for DLs.0

Here's a Rippetoe vid about gripping the bar and avoiding calluses you may be interested in.

mixed grip and just about to buy some gloves.
ETA: Thanks Amazing, that is a handy little trick, I'm certainly going to try that next time for my deads.0 -
Mixed grip, no gloves, no chalk yet (I use chalk on my 72.5 kg rows though as it is not mixed grip)
p.s. I am lifting heavier than 100 kg on the deads now though.0 -
I switched to mixed grip when I hit 145. Now when doing warmups, I can do an overhand grip at 145, so I know my grip is improving. Still doing mixed grip at working sets though. Luckily, my gym says I can use chalk as long as I "don't make a mess". I just need to order some to keep in my gym bag. Right now, my strength is the limiting factor, not my grip, so it hasn't been an issue.0
