I am clueless when it comes to HRMs, but want this to show up on my feed. I will also see if heybales can respond as he is the HRM gurugeek.

Suunto makes quality watches but often expensive and modular; you end up paying extra for pods. Very nice software, though.
What do you want to do with it? What is your need?0 -

I have enough points for a really good one by the looks...but I don't want something so good I don't even understand how to use!
I mainly want for weight training, power walking and indoor cycling.

Ok, then based on your reply. I have some bad news -
HRM are relatively useless for calorie burn during weight training. This is because HR varies not only due to oxygen consumption but also due to the Vasala effect. You'll get an artificial high calorie burn if you base it off of that.
For power walking, it is good if your HR goes above 60%Max, the equation for calorie consumption is good at those rates.
For indoor cycling calorie consumption is fine, but the Quest comes with a GPS, this will not be useful to you.
If you do any hiking, ultra-running or outdoor stuff, it is excellent.
For indoor training to evaluate HR and calories, I'd go for an M series watch. Having said that, the Ambit or Quest are just very nice pieces of kit.

Yep, that's the order.
Personally, esthetics also comes into it. Ambit is a excellent explorer watch. I'm partial to Garmin because of screen size on hand held GPS units but I think the quest/ambit are good choices. Will you need a POD? Read up on that.0 -
For one reviewer that I respect because he doesn't hold back negative comments, even though he usually gets demo units. He'll also buy many himself.
But very complete, almost instructional.

I use the Suunto Dual belt that pairs with my Suunto watch - really happy with it!
Though I've never had another HRM, so I can't really compare0 -
If the Sunnto Ambit is total overkill for what I need it for (see previous posts)...I could also get this one with credit card points...

Several positives.
Upper and lower zone settings and alarms. Time below, in, and above that zone.
Avg and max of course HR.
VO2max self test and stat (guessing you could manually change in case their test not as valid as others.
HRmax stat for changing.
Means of syncing it to computer.
Which means if you can get it there, you can use almost any app or website that accepts data.
In case you need it for calorie counting, but it would also be interesting to see how the VO2max changes with workouts.

I have a Suunto M2, basic functionality without unnessary bells and whistles. I really love that it has a very clean interface without the clutter that most Polars seem to have.0
