Ab Burner Alternatives?

Okay, so I pretty much love CLX, and this is coming from a girl who hates anything dealing with weights. What I don't love is the Ab burner workout... At all. I don't know why, but doing ab/core work laying down always makes me super nauseated. Any suggestions for what I could replace that 10 minute workout with? I have turbo jam and turbo fire if that helps any. Thanks for any advice! :)

I don't really have any advice because I do the 2 ab videos and just get it done. I have heard that the Hip Hop Abs video is good but I've never tried it.

If you can get your hands on it, you might like some of the exercises in Ab Ribber X from the P90X series. I could never do ALL of exercises or do a full 25 of each. But it's less crunch-y than Ab Burner. Some take a crazy amount of core strength to pull off, so just skip what you can't do or just do a few and then that's a few more than you would have done otherwise. I don't like ab exercises and at the time I did it I was having to be careful of exercises that could strain my neck -- and flat on your back crunches tend to do that. Ab Ripper X had plenty to choose from that didn't do that.

You are both so awesome! Thanks for the suggestions. My friend has P90X so I'll ask her to borrow that DVD and see how it is. I think I did hurt my neck during Ab Burner because my neck has been funky ever since I did it this weekend. I am a hot mess lately! :-)

good luck. You can do ab work standing up with weights and leaning side by side, also doing planks... lots of alternatives to crunches.

have you tried the other Chalean ab circuits (they come on additional/de luxe DVDs)? one uses a swiss ball. also P90X comes well recommended. and maybe you could substitute from time to time with some Fitness Blender vids (although it might be less demanding than CLX Abs), they include standing abs too, see this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08Bi8hMdwa4 or this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKFVZu_4Lq4

I have issues with my neck and find that the Ab Burner exercises aren't really good for me. I like HipHop Abs or I just follow along with AB Burner and substitue some of the Ab Ripper exercises from the old Power 90.
