Or does it have to be in a gym only? I have access to both, but planet fitness isn't big on lifting. They have tons of machines so I was wondering if I will be able to do this!

Thanks!

    There seem to be some women who do, there is a thread about it from last week.

    Sure you can, especially if you have all the equipment! I go to the gym now, but I did all of Stage 1 at home.

    Here's the equipment you need:

    * Olympic barbell: 7ft. long bar weighing 45lbs.
    * Full set of barbell plates, including 2.5lb. plates
    * Full set of dumbbells, ideally in 2-3 lb. increments
    * Squat Rack (I'm not kidding, you'll need one)
    * Incline/Decline Bench
    * Step Platform with multiple risers; or you could just use the bench but due to the padding it's not as stable. But hey, you're working your core (balance) more!
    * Swiss Ball, also know as a stability ball or exercise ball
    * Chin-up/Pull-up bar (used in Stage 6 which is optional)
    * Adjustable Cable Pulley Station: the author does provide limited alternatives if you don't have access to this apparatus but then goes on to list reasons why the alternatives are flawed.

    Thanks! I was looking for this list as well as I am planning on buying these things shortly. I just got the book and haven't read all the way through it yet.

    Excellent list! RE: the squat rack YES! And you will grow to love that rack too!
