Define "plenty of sleep"
Your body is going through some major healing and major changes, you most likely need more rest then you normally would. I remember the first couple of months going to bed about an hour earlier most nights. Listen to your body0 -
I was completely exhausted the first six months. About that time I started to feel normal again. Hang in there.0

I was very tired for at least 3-4 months post op. But now, 7 months out, my energy level has returned to normal. Others are right, you may feel good physically, but your body is still healing on the inside. btw...I am still caffeine free so the energy level return is not due to caffeine.0

6 weeks is not really that long. Make sure you allow yourself the rest that you feel you need. I do remember that I was surprised how much energy my surgery took out of me. I am 56 and I think that age has alot to do with the recovery period. If all your labs are good, I think it will get better every day. Hopefully, in the next month or so you will be feeling better than you thought possible.0

I'm gonna have to agree with everybody...listen to your body. If you are taking your vitamins & getting protein then your body just needs more time to heal and adjust. :flowerforyou:0

6 weeks post surgery is not long. I assume you are having a six week check soon. Make sure you are getting enough water. Dehydration is a big reason for not feeling well. It is a constant sipp to get enough waterhang in there, it will getbetter0

thanks to all you replied to me. I feel like I'm not alone and what is going on is more "normal" than I thought. I am trying to get plenty of sleep (about 9 hours per day) excersise (walking) at least 5 times a week all my vitimins, water etc. I do have a follow up appt soon and will follow through about getting more answers if things continue.
I feel like I will come out of the "woods" soon and feel much better.0 -
Make sure you are getting at least 80 oz of liquids a day and 80 oz of protein a day. Dehydration is a big factor right after surgery for the first three months or so. Good luck!0
