I GIVE UP !! Eating right, drinking all my water and working out everyday and nothing. I give. I should lose something just for cutting out processed foods and moving consistently everyday when I never did much before. I know this has to do with the changes in my hormones and stuff (47 years old) but damn it what more can I do?

I was just telling a co-worker that. The last three or four weeks I've cut out alot, ate right, drank my water and have exercised almost everyday and it seems like nothing is moving. I'm feeling some kinda way, but I just keep on moving until I see some results, I just came back from a 30 min brisk walk on a cloudy dreary day, but I'm trying hard to stay focused. I knew there was someone out there like me...It's funny I used to put in the work and the weight would just come but now that I'm about to hit 44, it feels like it's at a stand still...Let's remained focused!!

Hi Girls! No matter what don't give up! I'm in the very same boat, dieting, watering, training and feels like nothing is changing, but... have started reading exercise books, yeah right me? I kno. But anyway, found this book on clearance rack, Body for Life for Women, Dr Pamela Peeke. Talks about mental and physical changes, and having it "click". Well last nite I was already dreading getting up at 5am to workout and during the nite it "clicked". I'm not going to workout, I'm going to change my life and become healthy and happy. I'm tired of living my life with regret! I feel you, but don't give up! :)

Don't give up! Even if the weight is not moving, you ARE healthier, stronger and have more endurance. Your bones are less brittle, you are less likely to come down with a serious illness. You are prolonging your life and increasing the quality. All the things you are doing are making you stronger and healthier for the long run. If we don't do it now when we are able, soon we will be unable to make the changes we should have started now.

Don't give up. Look at it this way, next week is going to come no matter what. Do you want to look back on this week and say "I should have...." or do you want to look back and say "I did my best and I'm a better person for it!" You're not alone. You can do it!

Up your water intake and when you exercise, push yourself until you are sweating! Make sure you are breaking a strong sweat at least 5 days a week.

Are you measuring? Make sure you take measurements once a month. You will lose inches. That helped me. Don't give up. We are getting healthier. :flowerforyou:

Focus on being more fit and the weight loss will eventually follow. The body's natural biological imperative is to conserve fat for drawdown when food is scarce. Some people have a harder time than others getting things moving. Still, you work out and cut out foods that are bad for you and there are benefits beyond just loosing fat. Don't give up. Keep with it.
