Hi there!
I have been doing atkins on/off for 3 years, and now looking to stay on it! I know it works, but always about 5-6 weeks in, I cave. Looking for ideas on new foods, and maybe to make new friends! I'm 45, female, and looking to lose between 75-100 lbs in total.

Have you figured out why you cave that far in? That seems to be sufficient time to adapt to low carbing and not have any cravings. Everyone is different though. Were you getting enough fat or enough food in general? Is it timing? That is, is it due to hormone changes in your cycle? I know that I have a very hard time resisting carbs during ovulation. I crave during the PMS period, too. So, it was/is very easy for me to slip up during those times. Then once I've splurged, sometimes I think "what the heck, I'm out of ketosis now anyway, a few more carbs won't hurt."
