Average calorie intake over time

I still have not found a way to get MFP to calculate this for me. I can look at bar graphs, but haven't found a way to get more detailed information. Can one of you smart MFP peeps point me in the right direction? Or let me know if I just have to break out the abacus? (jk) :-)

Personally, I have an excel spreadsheet that I update every day - intake and weight - and can use that to muck around with numbers in whatever way I like0

Looks like the answer is no.

No way to do it on MFP. Like, cmeirun, I have an excel sheet that I use.
I have a tab for . . .
"Weight" (which I use once a week)
columns include: date; weight, gain/loss; total loss; ave cals eaten; average burn; weekly deficit; expected loss.
"Fitbit" (which I log daily)
columns include: date; steps; Fitbit burn; calories eaten; Difference (ie: difference between estimated burn and calories consumed)
Of course, my "expected loss" numbers assume that my Fitbit has an accurate burn and that I was spot on in estimating my consumed calories. I do weigh and measure my own food, but I don't always eat at home and most of the time I don't eat at places that have calorie count info listed on the menu or website. Even if they did list the calories, they could be way off depending on the chef or server. Maybe they added too much mayonnaise or salad dressing? Maybe that scoop of ice-cream was larger than Cold Stone corporate estimates.
Still, it's fun to track this stuff. It helps me to stay focused on my health. And, over time, I might even learn how accurate my Fitbit really is and/or how good I am at estimating the calories consumed from a meal that I did not get to weigh, measure or have full ingredient disclosure.0 -
I kept meaning to mention, but kept forgetting of course, that this was something I raised when I did an interview at the MFP offices at the beginning of the month (user experience type interview) - the fact that you cannot get reports for stats in any detail (and what is available is not consistently available on the app v website). Hopefully it is something that they will be working on as a feature upgrade.0

There is an external way to export data here:

Then you can open it in Excel and go to town. (Thanks to DaniH for this tip.)0 -

Thanks for this! I ended up inputting three months of intake by hand. (Not my favorite thing to do!). This will be a big help.0 -
