Hi Everyone,

My name is Ashley and I am new to the group! I am 25 and have 1 healthy baby girl who is turning 5 this August. I have been looking for healthy ways to drop weight with PCOS because running and metformin hasnt helped me one bit! Thanks!

Hi, welcome to mfp and this group. Living with pcos and trying to loose weight is an awful mix. It's so hard to get healthy sometimes. Regarding metformin it is a long germ drug so it can take a while for you to start seeing a difference. I've been on it about 5 years and I can't believe the difference in me. Not much seemed to happen the first year. But eventually I got my periods back, and I can go much longer between meals. I feel normal again, ish. Food choices is something to look at to. Just take one step at a time. That's the only way.
