I'm looking into buying a home gym and I'm wondering if I should go resistance based or weight based? Opinions please

I would suggest weight based only because it's easily measurable (and I love my measurements!
) I think one of the main reasons I have completed Stage 1 is because I could look back and see that I went from not being able to pick up a certain weight to being able to do 8 reps of it without dying. Resistance would be slightly more difficult to measure in my mind and might not be significant enough to make you want to keep going.

Very good point! Another thing that I read was that the resistance doesn't give you the 'full resistance' until you are at the max push/pull, whatever... lol0
