Hi All
I began my MFP journey last August eating 1200 cals and being very hungry and grumpy. After about a month I increased to 1300 just to give myself some slack. I lost 13lbs between August and Christmas. After Christmas I plateaued and came across EM2WL - I upped my cals to 1500 (TDEE - 20%) and dropped another 2lb. Weight has now since January time stopped still again.
I keep reading about resets as I am really not wanting to eat at 1500 cals each just JUST to keep the weight I am at now! I also want to lose the last 7lbs to get down to my goal weight.
I only really work out once "properly" a week with Zumba and I try to go out for a bike ride at least once and maybe a fitness DVD once too. I have read I really need to get into weights but am scared at the thought of walking into a gym by myself! (you may have guessed I have ZERO self esteem through being bullied about my weight all through school!). I have set my activity levels to lightly active (as I am a carer for my job so on my feet quite a lot too) so my TDEE has been calculated at just over 1800 cals.
The thought of trying to force more food in is very mind blowing and the thought of piling on all those cals again that it took me 8 months to lose is petrifying (don't want people to think I have blown my diet and just put all my weight back on!) but I guess you have all been there too.
Would love to have some friends going through the same/gone through it to support me and offer advice too.
Thank you for reading
Michelle

You're on your last 7 lbs and while a reset may be in order you should be doing a 5-10% cut being so close to your goal. Try that for 2-4 weeks if it doesnt work then do a reset0

Thanks for the advice - I will try that - I am finding it VERY hard to eat 1800 cals the last couple of days!0

Try to plan your meals for the day and time your meals with the days progress. For instance i bring food to work. And all the food should b done by the end of my shift so I set little milestonce where I'll eat something to stay on track. It sucks having all these calories to eat at the end of the day and youre not hungry.0

Thanks again - I have done that the last couple of days and it is definitely easier! I am beginning to feel hungry again which is a strange feeling after all those months of not really getting hunger pains!0

Well thats always a good sign and your body is responding!0

Can someone tell me what a reset is and how to start it? I have no idea and I should probably do that before I start the program, I guess.0
