I am totally addicted to breakfast smoothies. I used to do bacon, eggs and pancakes almost everyday but have since changed my game and love this recipe I kind of made up along the way. It is kind of high in sugars (sometimes I skip one of the fruits and add Kale). I am very new to this and have only been at it for 2 months but this meal in my day helps a lot.

    Spinach - Raw, 0.5 cup
    1 banana
    Almond Milk (Vanilla)
    Blueberries .25 cup
    Strawberries - Raw, 0.5 cup,
    Avacado - Fresh -1/2
    Honey - Med, 2 Tsp
Plain Ff Greek Yogurt, 1/2 cup
    3 ice cubes
Kale , 1/2 cup (optional I freeze it first)

    The Apple Pie Smoothie

1 red apple (I used an organic gala apple)
1 small banana (from my freezer instead of ice)
    5 raw almonds
3/4 cup nonfat plain greek yogurt
    1/2 cup skim milk
    1/4 tsp cinnamon

WOW is this good!! I have had one every morning this week. Very filling. I use a Nutri-bullet and blend for 30 seconds.
It will contain very small pieces of skin and almond but I like it this way. I just finished a 5 day/3 smoothies and 2 snacks per day program and find that I stay satisfied all day. I now move on to 2 smoothies 1 meal 2 snacks for the next 5 days. I am following the Body Reset program with great success for far!

These are all awesome! Here is my anti-parasite, digestive system smoothie that is just yummy besides.

    1 cup fresh, ripe papaya
    1 cup fresh pineapple
1 cup plain (or vanilla) yogurt with active cultures
2 tablespoons papaya seed or 1 tablespoon papain powder.

I usually add a cup of ice too before I blend. This stuff ROCKS! I could live on it!

My latest favorite smoothie. I usually have it as a snack. I do tweak the recipe slightly. I add a handful of spinach. 1/4 tsp of cinnamon and I use 1 tsp of local honey instead of the agave nectar. Everything else is right on. I love bosc pears. I also don't like spicy things as they can be too hot for me. This has just enough zing to tasty.

    Spiced Green Tea Smoothie

3/4 cup strong green tea, chilled
    1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Juice of 1 lemon (2-3 TBSP)
    2 teaspoons agave nectar
1 small pear, skin on, cut into pieces
    2 tablespoons fat-free plain yogurt
    6-8 ice cubes

    Preparation
Put all ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth. Drink cold.

Trying using a frozen banana in your smoothies to make them extra creamy. I made one with chocolate protein powder , PB2, frozen banana and some 2% milk. It tasted like a milkshake!

I love my Ninja blender and use it every day. It blends whole fruit/veg into juice. I'm not a sales rep, I just really love this blender!

I also do the following combination, usually as a snack, but it could be part of breakfast -

Spinach juice 1/2 cup (every few days, I blend an entire bag of spinach and keep the resulting juice in the fridge)
Unsweetened cranberry juice 1/4 cup (you could use any kind of juice)
Greek Yogurt 1/4 cup (I use Cabot full fat greek - it's amazing)
Frozen Fruit 1/2 cup ( I use a mixed fruit from walmart - strawberries, peaches, mango and pineapple - all frozen and sliced - love no prep work)

It's cold and creamy and the unsweetened juice makes it a little tart. I try to change up the juice, subbed the yogurt for almond milk, added blueberries, but I still go back to this combination. And it's about 150 calories.

This morning's smoothie I wanted to use a pink grapefruit. I'm really into them lately. I hate the pith, but it's supposed to have as much vitamins in as the fruit. So when I peeled it today I left as much of the pith on the grapefruit as possible.

    1 peeled pink grapefruit
    1 cup spinach
    1/2 banana
    2 T greek yogurt
    2 T whey protein powder
    1 tsp chia seeds
1 tsp Barlean's fresh fish oil
    ice

Whirl in blender. It was very tasty. Not as strong of a grapefruit flavor as I thought, but it was still very good.

Latest favorite smoothie. I needed more protein in my day and this made a great snack.

    PB2 and Banana Green Smoothie

    Ingredients:

    1 medium banana

    1/2 cup skim milk

    2 Tbsp PB2

1 scoop Whey protein powder (optional)

    1 cup fresh spinach

    1 cup fresh kale

    5 ice cubes

Steps: Put everything in a blender and blend until all everything is mixed well.

Comments: Don't let the bright green color of this smoothie scare you. It tastes just like a peanut butter banana smoothie and is packed with vitamins, minerals, and protein!

Love all the recipes. Here is my favorite:

    Green Tea Fruit Protein Smoothie

    Brewed Green Tea (Chilled)
1 Cup of Frozen Fruit (Mixed Berries, Pineapple/Raspberry, Pineapple/Cherry, or Pineapple/Blueberry)
    1 Cup Baby Spinach (Optional)
    1 T Ground Flax Seed
    1 T Wheat Germ
    1T Chia Seeds
    1-2 Scoops Vanilla Protein Powder
    2 Ice Cubes

I add the Green Tea last and just kind of eyeball it. I don't measure it. I also make a pitcher when doing food prep and keep it in the refrigerator so it is ready to go for the week. You can add oats or apple cider vinegar if you want the health benefits of those but don't care for the taste. :)
