Greetings and Salutations!

I am looking for some new pizza recipes for keto that isn't meatza or an 'eggy' tasting crust. I don't mind getting creative either, just looking for some alternatives to an old favorite.

Thanks!

Have you ever tried a flax or almond flour crust? Also I see alot of people use cauliflower but have never tried that one myself. Also, if you are on pinterest, if your search for low carb pizza some stuff should come up and be helpful.

I just bought some low cabr baking products on netrition, one says to use for pizza crust, gonna give that one a try too!

    Good luck!

I make cauliflower pizza and it's very good. It's cheese, cauliflower and eggs.I don't do the tomato sauce.
I also make mini almond pancakes on the savoury side. They could easily be used as a base for pizza and they are amazing!

Here is a *perfected* recipe for the "Holy Grail" low-carb pizza crust, made with almond meal/flour. I haven't tried it myself personally, but I am looking forward to soon!

Thanks, Tom_on_Keto! I forgot all about Buffalo Chicken Pizza.

I usually sub out the almond flour and flax in that recipe for a 1/4 cup of coconut flour and a 1/4 cup dry parmesan and I add an additional egg as coconut flour absorbs liquids very well and is heat safe for baking/cooking. One big reason I don't use almond flour often is that it disrupts thyroid function due to the high level of PUFAS. For someone with an autoimmune disorder, almond flour can be harmful in regular quantities due to triggering inflammation. Here's a good website if you want to read up on it. http://empoweredsustenance.com/avoid-almond-flour/ -

So I wouldn't mind giving the original recipe a go, just to see what it tastes like and if I react to it. For Science. :) I bet it is tasty.

I have a plethora of hot sauces that need to be used up soon. Now to find go find some chicken and my master plan is complete!

When I'm craving pizza, I fry up some shredded cheese (just put 1/4 c or more in a nonstick pan). I cook it until it bubbles (like a pancake) and then remove it to a plate. It's a gooey delight.

That recipe is EASILY the closest I've gotten to real pizza crust. it works and handles like dough when you're getting it onto the pan.

It may take some trial and error with the timing of cooking it, but once you dial it in, it's pretty awesome.
